Just watched this, and I'm definitely on Timothy's side now. This video made me see through Melanie, and I kind of knew deep down that she wasn't all that innocent, but this kind of confirmed it for me. I know nothing has been revealed in this video or anything, but I dunno.. Just going over all of the information again has made me wish that I didn't start supporting her again.

It's sad how Lana probably thinks she has to 'dress down' in order to be taken seriously. Like yeah women have days where they want to dress in leggings and a plain t-shirt (and that's fine), but Lana has ALWAYS been glamorous, even before she was famous. This is why I think the person she's portraying right now isn't entirely genuine.

I don’t think we know who she is anymore. After the ‘Plain Jane’ Billboard cover last year as well as the ‘Plain Jane’ photo of her sitting by the side of the highway, she’s clearly negatively reacting to her former glamorous image and saying, “I’m not that.”
 
Keep in mind that she’s been roundly criticized by the Left, by members of her own party, many of whom are feminists against the glamorization of women, which they consider a male plot to keep women oppressed.
 
Personally, I think she’s going through an identity crisis, or coming out of one, which is to be expected, perhaps, for someone who has assumed numerous identities over the last ten years or so, each with its own set of expectations.
 
That’s why the NFR cover art will tell us a lot—not necessarily who she is or ‘ really is,’ but at least how she is projecting herself to the world now.

I think I'm one of the few people that really couldn't care less about Cinnamon. Idg where everyone's getting that it'll be a bop from when all the snippets sound slow and what non-fans would call boring. And I have to admit, I'm tired of the vague references to food. Cinnamon from this and radio, Bacardi and different brands of beer, tangerines, vanilla and cola from the Lizzy days. I can't get soft-serve ice cream without hearing that weird laughing man from Salvatore, and now when I get cinnamon lattes I'll get that Melanie Martinez ah-ah-ah-ah stuck in my head.

anyways, if that rumour is true about her collaborating with a rapper, IT'S TYLER THE CREATOR, MARK MY WORDS. They've been friendly for a while (she performed at his festival Camp Flog Gnaw in 2017) and Tyler has an album dropping on the same day as Doin' Time. I'm definitely delulu and saying what I hope for but if they collab it would be WONDERFUL (see his collabs with Kali Uchis for further proof) and it's definitely a possibility

The problem with LFL is that it's overproduced. She wanted to do so well that she ended up doing too much and that's why the tracks don't sound as good as they could've been with a lighter production. With NFR, even if most of the songs we've heard from now are piano-driven, they sound well finished. Some will say it's not enough, but I think it's perfect the way it is. I don't imagine HIAB with much more instruments. Same for IYC. The strings and the piano are enough. Jack made it perfect in my opinion, and that's why this album has the potential to be her best even with minimal production. It's not meant to be a cinematic album. It's meant to be her everyday life. And from what we've heard, I have no difficulties portraying that.

Same, that's why I thought it wasn't produced by Jack. Hope and MAC are very bland in comparison.

It's so hard to believe anything she says. She said Honeymoon was similar sound to BTD/P and it's totally different. She also talked a ton about songs on LFL that never made it (i.e. Yosemite) and even said it had a bigger sound (sorta true, but not really). 
 
Net net: You can't trust her to describe her own material.
