honestly thank you for sharing this bc as an aspiring musician/mixer/producer i rarely see any tips for vocal mixing only instrumental mixing and this is very helpful as ethel's mixing is always great

i love describing hayden’s music as cinematic because, like a movie, it’s not meant to always be particularly enjoyable or easy all the time—it’s supposed to make you feel something. you don’t say a horror film is bad because it scared you. i think anyone who completely throws the stuff that makes them uncomfortable aside is doing a great injustice to her artistry, while also proving that what she’s doing is effective

Finally listened to Happy Loner and I like it a lot wow, I love the lyrics way more than half of ADIAML lyrics lol. Sad that she didn't include it in the standard version but at least it got released, now I can't wait to hear Pink Convertible 

As a young twenty something who struggles with mental health on a daily basis and is actively seeking therapy, I find Marina’s lyrics quite relatable and comforting.
Happy Loner couldn’t have come at a better time.
I actually find Marina to be one of the better writers when it comes to writing pop songs that deal with themes of general isolation, loneliness and insecurity.

Like personally I don’t need a whole lyrical dissertation on depression or the entire DSM 5 in the form of a song for it to be deemed good 

its great she's doing the deluxe for this album but its EXACTLY what we wanted for froot. at least she's doing it now and sticking to it instead of saying she's going to and then not.

Tbh I don't find the font thaaat ugly and it's at least creative...
