In reality they want 50%, but they are asking the highest percentage, it's negotiation. She wants that track to remain hers (it's her baby), so she won't give them 50%. Maybe the court thing is what Lana anticipate is gonna happen next, but in reality they just didn't give her an answer yet.
 
"We want 100%" is different than "We will only accept 100%" when you are negotiate.

The next logical step is to go up to 50%. They refused 40% because they want her to go up to 50%, or maybe 60%, but really wanting 100% is not logical. I don't like when people negotiate like that, I find it insulting. It's intimidating. If I was Lana, my first offer would have been 1% "haha you wanna play that game?"

Exactly my thought, if she has a fever it could take a few days before it’s gone. And her throat could be hurting too... I really hope she meant a cold and not a flu.Don’t celebs get flu shots?

Also - it really does suck that this is happening to Lana, regardless of which song, but it really stings to know that THIS track in particular, one that really is personal to Lana and is a symbol of her growth, is coming under fire. It's really sad, and I truly feel for her. 
 
However, we must hold on to hope to have a happy ending, as Lana says. This could be the universe's way of really driving that point home, that Lana is destined and sure to win this case, which would also make Get Free a symbol of triumph and victory, and persistence, which connects to her "lust for life" - her journey and desire to grow and evolve for the better, which is the main sentiment of Get Free. 

Poor Lana...

I hope she's okay, perhaps she caught something while travelling, or maybe the whole lawsuit case has put too much stress on her system

upsetting how Lana’s literally shied away from major press and promo and media for years to avoid the sort of bandwagon misogynistic hatred of her that existed for a while and has just been reliably releasing music quietly for her fans, and yet she STILL CANT GET A FUCKING BREAK because of these fucking greedy capitalist pigs who have not only tarnished a song of great personal significance to many but have also opened up yet another controversy and backlash

Where are the youtube videos that compare both songs? I can't find any? I don't think they sound similar enough to go to court. They want 100% of the publishing? Let's mash up Get Free and Creep and call it Greed!

it actually wasn't considering her statement wasn't messy and there were articles about it already, even NME already reported on it before lana tweeted. she had every right to give a short statement inbefore she gets thrown under the bus and labelled as the one who wasn't willing to settle for sharing the royalties or crediting them before it got public and went to court.

Edit: In the heat of the moment, I didn't search to know if RH sued SS, my bad. But the GAP between the two different settlements is huge and irrational (12.5% royalties for Sam and 100% for Lana)

  "You're so fucking special, I'm a creep"   Men are intimidated by Lana   in·fe·ri·or·i·ty com·plex   I loved that song and still love it though. But the band's attitude...??   

She will also get publicity, good and bad. People will want to hear Get free and will notice how superior it is...
