I just heard this band for the first time and I didn’t see a topic here. They have a new record coming early next year and all three singles are amazing. Yael Cohen’s voice is so interesting and she’s stunning. Echos reminds me of an amped up born to die Lana song. What Am I starts like Sufjan Stevens song and blossoms into something really lovely. I’m kind of immediately obsessed.

So does American Tradition. (All amazing songs tho)

I think the jingle bells are intentionally Christmas-y. The song sounds to me like a note from Lana in California to someone in NY during winter. She isn’t experiencing snow and winter but the person reading the note is. Like the “I watch the skies getting light as I write as I think about the years” is referring to the letter she is writing early in the morning.

When it comes to pop2 it’s all good and mostly excellent. Out of my head was my initial skip and sometimes I still skip it, but its not bad, just a little more generic than the rest. Pop2 is one of the best pop album ever imo, it’s what opened my eyes to Charli.

This album has a 5.1 user score on Metacritic I mean where is the TASTE??? I’m concerned for the masses.

This being pretty much my first exposure to all of these songs, I’m impressed it is as incredibly cohesive as it is considering the wide span of time these songs have been released over. Not a single skip of the album.

Yeah, I’m hoping the rock/metal angle isn’t something she plans on making a staple of her new music. It’s fine but I was hoping for something different.

It’s pretty good! I don’t need hopscotch but everything else is nice. Story of Us, Perfect Crime, Know Better are my trinity atm.
