I was supposed to see her in April but obvs Covid stopped that. I saw her a few years ago for Liberman and she was great. Rabbits on the Run is imo her best but there are things to enjoy on all her records.

I accept no opinions or desires for this album from ppl who didnt like NFR. Sorry sweetiez. I’ve been a Lana fan since BEFORE btd came out and NFR is still my fav. (Fighting with my racist family has me feeling fiery srry)

Not good for tinashe the dumdum literally drew MORE attention to the looting videos. Her sentiment was correct but she brought it to light in a stupid way (just as lana did)

It took a few listens but I like it as a whole. The way the Elton John song actually slays. I would never have guessed. 911 is epic as well. Babylon, Sine from Above, 911 the holy trinity of chromatica.

I, for one, am in the minority that I wouldn’t at ALL mind this being another NFR sounding record, as it is my favorite Lana and has aged gracefully (in the short time it’s been around). I will always stan Lana and a piano. As much as I love (most of) UV I can’t see her going back to that sound at the moment. It was a big “If I can’t make you love me I’m gonna do whatever the fuck I want” moment, and as much as she seems to be going through something similar personally I don’t think it will reflect in her music the way it did when that came out. If she did retread any familiar territory I’d like to hear a mix of HM and NFR. I’ll probably love whatever it is she’s got cooking. I always become obsessed with Lana records.

Babylon... on one hand I kind of enjoy it, but on the other hand, the demo’s beat slapped harder in a different way.

This made my day, but I also canNOT let myself become as obsessive over this album rollout as I did the last. That was sheer AGONY. I like that she mentioned a date but I also know that it doesn’t necessarily mean anything at all and artists, particularly... complicated ones, like Lana, can often say things too early for them to actually be finalized and things can change quite easily.

Kathleen Edwards announced her first album in forever and the single is so good! She is one of the artists that opened my eyes back in the day to the fact that good country music exists.

Gold is amazing. That’s it. That’s all I wanted to say.

Best: If I’m being objective it’s visions but if I’m making it personal It’s detonate. Worst: I hate to pick any but maybe pink diamond. It’s all so strong, though. I don’t dislike any moment of it.
