politics are a reflection of someone’s beliefs and personality, it’s not something you can just ignore. the fact that this guy is a republican says a lot about him, most of it negative, and him being a cop just makes it extra scary because now he’s a republican in a position of power. if lana is okay with dating someone like that then it reveals a part of her personality that i absolutely despise.
 
best case scenario she’s completely unaware of his politics (un-fucking-likely) and even then she’s still dating a fucking tv cop (which is unethical as fuck btw, making entertainment out of real people getting arrested is straight up sadistic)

I'm one of those people who doesn't give much of a fuck what he does, but I wish people wouldn't do that, because she probably thinks her shows are really spectacular because people like him turn up to every single one. Also, apparently quite a lot of people left her Portland show during VB and at the end she said, "thanks for fucking sticking around!" to the people who were still there. So you know, she can turn up 50 minutes late but God forbid people want to beat the stampede out of the venue/on public transport by missing a few minutes of the VB backing track.

He threw cash at the Daniel Johnston doc they were involved with for example.  His band was growing some fame in the UK, the dude wasn't a straight up leech or anything, just depressed.  Shame he quit that band, I think he felt him and Lana were going to be in it for the long haul. 
 
I'll admit my bias that I think Barrie was her best public boyfriend she had from a fan's perspective.  The others might be rich or GQ-cover material but were dull as rocks.
