yeah this is bothering me too. it's starting to be just as messy as the start of NFR era. I CANNOT go through another NFR pre-release thread.

What a shitshow this whole situation is. I don’t even know what to say about this new post, wish she just took a break from it all.
 
Can’t believe there was an album announcement in that messy post and a book announcement in this one. Her idea of good marketing? I REALLY wish she hadn’t written that first post, at least in that way, it sounded so tonedeaf and pretentious.
 
I feel sick cause I stan her as an artist but her vibe has been way off for a while. The fuck off post was immature too, she comes off as a moody teenager… sigh.

I actually noticed (along with @RormanNockwell) that Lana sounded quite hoarse at the Grammys, seen in these interviews.. I hope this isn't an illness that has just progressively gotten worse for over a month now, that wouldn't be a good sign. I'm quite worried for her, and hope she'll make a smooth recovery. I'm sure it breaks her heart to cancel a whole leg of an international tour, considering how much she must know her fans love her overseas. Sending her a big giant air hug right now x

I'm going to try to have some empathy for her. We know how kind and forthcoming she has always been with her fans, so the decision to cancel an entire leg of a tour and disappoint around 125,000 people who support you cannot be easy. Also what happens to the crew that produce the show?
 
She cannot control being ill. However hiding behind a press release and being completely silent regarding a cancellation that affects a show with not much more than 24 hours advance notice is not a good look.
 
I had tickets to the London show and I'm pretty unfazed. Although Lana is my favourite artist and I have never seen her perform before, I would not expect this show to place within my top 5 concert experiences. Her shows appear to leave a lot to be desired. Plus I got off easy, I would have been at work all day the same as every other day then got the train shortly before the show and turned up just before. I feel bad for people who planned trips around her concert dates.

Lana IS recognized and even mentioned by many new artists as a big influence on their music and songwriting, the only problem is
she doesn´t get enough awards for it.
BUT we all know very well that these "awards" are usually bought by and manipulated by the big music corporations just like
what happens with the film Oscars.
 
Does anyone still remembers that rock-band from Canada called "RUSH" ?

They have been a band since 1968 and only stopped being a band when their drummer died this past january 2020. Neil Peart Rest in Peace.
But guess what?
They have been one of the most influential bands for THOUSANDS of musicians throughout the past 40 years!
The drummer and songwriter for this band has been voted numerous times as THE best drummer ever, sometimes only coming in
second place to John Bonham of the late Led Zeppelin fame.
Rush has a unique sound and music (some call it Prog-rock) but their FANS are DEVOTED to them for many years !, even tho they
hardly get awards.
Because they KNOW the band plays great music. Its just that the rest of the entire world has taken time to KNOW what
this band is all about.
As an example, it took YEARS for the Rock-N-Roll HAll of Fame to vote for them ! But now they are in after so many
years.
Hear what David Grohl (from Nirvana and the Foo Fighters) had to say about them....

 
Same thing had happened with that band "The PIXIES" - Never got an award - BUT they were very influential on SO MANY Bands and singers!
 
So if WE are FANS of Lana Del Rey, WE KNOW something beautiful that hardly anyone else knows. We KNOW that she is a GREAT Singer.
And she needs no awards.
Her time will come one day when all the young female singers (and male singers) will admit honestly that she was an inspiration to them all, because
without LANA DEL REY - music in the 21st century would not have been so great and wonderful. 
 
Time will tell. 
Just notice this recent publication....
Pitchfork went from rating her 2012 album "Born to Die" a 5.5/10 .... to naming her 2019 album "Norman F---ing Rockwell" as the 19th best album of the decade !! 

Lana (her team) should've submitted NFR for best alternative instead of best pop vocal

I’m getting the vibe she probably didn’t realize she needed her label’s input. She probably decided it and recorded it herself then assumed she could just upload it the day of. But whenever artists try releasing stuff on their own without consulting their label, it always backfires and the labels usually demand input. She doesn’t care much about making money but they do and her contract probably requires for her to release everything through them so they can profit. I honestly think she just realized AKA’s anniversary was coming up and decided the poetry album last minute without thinking it through.

Wouldn’t be a Lana release without a delay

hope she wins AOTY! NFR is one of her best albums imo, it's so laid back and easy to listen to.

It’s so disappointing the album leaked. I know it always happens, but it still must hurt for Lana. I’m glad I have no interest in hearing the album in shit quality. I hope it doesn’t leak in high quality (I still won’t listen). I’ve been reading the lyrics though and imagining to myself what they’ll sound like, which is exciting! Luckily I can’t remember most of the sound clips we got. But based on the lyrics to Bartender, I’m even more excited to hear it. Still my most anticipated song.
