I've supported Lana unflinchingly since becoming a fan a few years ago, but even I feel snubbed and disregarded as a fan by the way this has all unfolded. To tease and tease that the album is coming soon, in the spring, for MONTHS, and then dash all of that anticipation with a less-than-heartfelt, vague, practically sardonic tweet, followed by instagram posts of her literally giving us all the bird...I feel betrayed, honestly. Call it a childish meltdown or whatever, but I always looked up to Lana for staying classy and for always being sweet to the fans who deserve it. To see her be so dismissive of us this era is kind of heartbreaking. Especially since she has insisted that this one is "for the fans". I never thought I'd feel this disillusioned or let down by her :/  I hope I'll just get over it by July but idk...I can't keep holding a torch for someone who seems hell-bent on blowing it out in one way or another.  

I don't want an Ultraviolence rehash per se. I found a way to describe it now: I want her to work with other producers who can push her and influence her sound. Like, Dan Auerbach made Ultraviolence a classic.

I want a producer who will push her and give input, etc. I feel like some of the people she usually works with don't push her the way she could be.

Also like get the fuck over it I'm allowed to not agree with every decision that occurs with my fave and her label/management. I'm sick of people being like "Guys stop complaining Lana just wants to make her music perfect" or even the "Oh well Lana was just trying to give us a surprise and you're all hating, you sick fucks" when Coachella was released. Just cause we don't like one song or am annoyed the album is delayed doesn't mean we hate her or her music. Imo it's worse to blindly agree with everything she does/love everything she releases just because its her. That blind stanning shit it just stupid.

lana clearly has no direction or cohesive vision for lust for life. it feels like a bunch of random songs put together. by trying to please us and create an album just for the fans, she's lost who she is.

Nope, I was never here for collabs. Now she's adding more? We've been waiting for months just so she could make unwanted additions. I just hope they're good.

i am seriously not here for more collabs. We already have 3, which is too much, and now she's adding more? Knowing her, she'll delete other songs off the record and we'll get like 11 songs. not here for this. If the entire album is 20 tracks, then fine. but not if it's short.

Yeah I can't wait 2 months sorry like this disaster has gone on long enough. I can't keep repeating this cycle of clinging onto hope and Lana staying fucking silent then randomly dropping a magazine cover or a single or a video out of nowhere then disappearing again. It wasn't worth it for the Flaunt shoot, it really was barely worth it for the LFL video which was alright but poorly released and they waited too long, etc.
I'm sure it'll be a good album but she has killed my hype for it completely. It genuinely does feel like she doesn't care anymore. A February lead single for a mid-late July album release? This is really lame, but I can't say I expected any better. Lana already did a lot of damage to her career with the way she executed Ultraviolence and then followed it up with Honeymoon, so there's no reason for shock of course.
 
Still hoping and praying she surprise drops the album in the next 12 hours and she's just fucking with us, but we all know how Lana is

why did Ben think it was a good idea to lie in the comments that there was no release date until the album was finished?? Then like 2 days later Lana confirms the date we already got from Paris Match that was presumably the same date edited out of the KROQ interview... he's the biggest mess of all and should retire tbh
Honestly so mad at the way the release date has come out. Why was it some big secret when clearly Paris Match and Ted already knew it? It's not like she announced it in a cool and fun way it was a dick move from her and her whole team tbh. I will be so surprised if any of the promo for the rest of the era is any good just feels like she doesn't give a shit about the album at all?
