I feel so stupid. I just realized what she means with "and if you don't like it, you can beat it". I thought she literally meant that he should go ahead and hit her/something if he's mad, but she means that if he's not liking what she gives him, he can just go and jack off, right? It took me four years to get that.

John met me down by the boulevard
I cried on his shoulder cause life is hard
The waves came in over my head

Whatcha been up to my baby?
Havent seen you round here lately
All of the guys tell me lies but you dont
    You just grab another beer
and pretend that you're still here

    This is how to disappear
    This is how to disappear

Jim met me down at the training yard
With cuts on his face cause he fought too hard
I know he's in over his head
But I love that man like nobody can
He moves mountains and makes them into ground again
And I watch the guys getting high
As they fight for the things that they hold dear
To forget the things they fear

    This is how they disappear
    This is how they disappear

Well now its been years since I left New York
and I got a kid and two cats in the yard
The California sun and the movie stars
And I watch the skies getting light as I write
As I think about those years
And I whisper in your ear

I'm always going to be right here
    No ones going anywhere
I'm always going to be right here
    No ones going anywhere

No disrespect to Lana's backup dancers, but honestly this really makes me miss her solo performances. I'm not sure what it is, but I feel so much more connected to her when she's performing alone like this.
Also, How to Disappear is absolutely gorgeous.

i think its so cute how lana still gets nervous about performing even after being in the business for almost 7 years. really shows celebrities are humans and not perfect robots

Honestly, some of y'all are Negative Nancys and need to just breathe for a minute. Let's not forget that this album already has 3 of Lana's best songs: Venice Bitch, Mariners Apartment Complex and Cinnamon!
SO don't lose hope... sure, there might be a song or two that's not your cup of tea (e.g. the rap feature) but the fact is, we're getting a new Lana album VERY soon and so far the songs we've heard are amazing.

It’s fucking ridiculous. It’s childish. This online twitter “stan” culture needs to end already.

This is gonna be her best album. All y’all judging this off of snippets can leave. Also the MGK collab snippet so far sounds good! I think their voices will mesh well & that it’ll shit on Summer Bummer & Groupie Love

    THANK YOU.

If someone is being a fucking idiot, they deserve to be called out.

I understand racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia etc. are definitely real things we need to fight against but I'm kind of sick of people bringing race, gender, etc. into discussions that really have nothing to do with them.

Lana calling out Azaelia and Kayne for their bullshit is NOT racism, it's Lana being confident enough to say that bullying is never ok, and delusional people with antisocial tendencies need serious mental health treatment.

Azealia also said Kesha lied about being raped.

Imagine stanning someone who says something like that.

    Can't be me.
  11. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by bluefiona in Lana to release two new songs: ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ & ‘Venice Bitch’ (out next week)
Venice Bitch is one of her best songs in a long time.

after listening to MAC, I have high hopes for this album. it seems more sincere and stripped back compared to LfL and I can't wait for the next single
  13. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by YUNGATA in Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread
pls no collabs honestly. LFL was saturated in collabs and it only served to weaken the album overall.

I'm really excited to hear what influence Jack Antonoff has. Aim and Ignite is such a great album, maybe one of the best indie pop/rock releases of the era.

I just am so so happy MAC is authentic, raw, and seems to paint a story - personal to LDR -
it makes the music so much more relatable again - (unlike with LFL) - and I just am so thankful for this
    beautiful song...
also I am sick and tired of ppl using labels such as "happy" and "sad"
it shouldn't be labeled and boxed up... let the music and lyrics express
experiences she has had, to which we can relate to and find comfort in the unification of life's struggle

So far everything points to this being a monster. Bring it on!

mariners apartment complex is one of my favorite song titles she's ever made

it invokes such a surreal and raw feeling, not too sure why- like the maturity and haziness of HM with the tensity and nip that UV had
  17. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by LanaFlowers in Unpopular Lana Opinions
Same. Wrinkles are perfectly normal... We all age, it's natural. I don't care that she's getting older. But those fucking cheek fillers jesus christ someone get them away from her
  18. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by softcore babyface in Lana to release an Album & Poetry Book in 2019
she could put the lyrics to you can be the boss and it would be more poetically complex lmaooo
  19. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by GodBlessMe in Lana to release an Album & Poetry Book in 2019
Lmao that's my biggest fear but honestly she could put the lyrics of MAC in the book and it would already be a more poetically complex book than Milk and Honey

  21. Lilybert liked a post in a topic by Lana De Los Reyes in Mariners Apartment Complex
    [Verse 1]
You took my sadness out of context
    At the mariners apartment complex
I ain't no candle in the wind

I'm the bolt, the lightning, the thunder
Kind of girl who's gonna make you wonder
Who you are and who you've been

    [Pre - Chorus]
And who I've been is with you on these beaches
Your Venice bitch, your diehard, your weakness
Maybe I could save you from your sins
So kiss the sky and whisper to Jesus
My, my, my, you found this, you need this
Take a deep breath, baby, let me in

    [Chorus]
You lose your way, just take my hand
You're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again
Don't look too far, right where you are, that's where I am
    I'm your man
    I'm your man

    [Verse 2]
They mistook my kindness for weakness
I fucked up, I know that, but Jesus
Can't a girl just do the best she can?

Catch a wave and take in the sweetness
Think about it, the darkness, the deepness
All the things that make me who I am

    [Pre - Chorus]
And who I am is a big time believer
That people can change, that you don't have to leave her
When everyone's talking, you could make a stand

'Cause even in the dark, I feel your resistance
You can see my heart burning in the distance
Baby, baby, baby, I'm your man

    [Chorus]
You lose your way, just take my hand
You're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again
Don't look too far, right where you are, that's where I am
    I'm your man
    I'm your man

    [Guitar Solo]

    [Outro]
Catch a wave and take in the sweetness
    Take in the sweetness
    Want this, you need this
    Are you ready for it?
    Are you ready for it?
    Are you ready for it?
