I kind of like this last little video she posted. But the subject matter and the whole day, out of the blue, our precious Lana may be more damaged than we thought. Not a put down but an observation. Some deep seeded stuff rising to the surface. My love and prayers Lana.

Girl how...this is the most iconic and entertaining thing she’s done in years. Nobody likes Lana because she’s woke or PC, the contrary actually. It’s surprising how many wokescolding fans she has like she wasn’t the bitch who wore head dresses and larped as a latina and wrote songs glamorizing every toxic thing she could think off. Maybe this is the difference between old stans and new stans.

This is her breakdown moment I think, every singer has one

This is truly wild but why would anyone think she's ruining her career with this? Since when has Lana's success been based on appealing to the masses? She's pissed and messy right now but she's expressing herself and as usual her words her misconstrued and used against her as an attack. Someone close to her needs to call her right now and calm her down, but she's clearly not ruining her career lol.

Y'all are weak if you're considering not stanning her anymore because of this lmao let her be angry she's been putting up with shit for so long I'm actually surprised it took her all this time to finally snap. And I can assure you that the people "cancelling" her never supported her to begin with so what difference does it make? Lana has a cult following anyway so its not like she needs the support of the GP to survive so whatever just let her wreck havoc or sum

Lana will always be an outsider and I think she's just had that revelation. Not matter how hard she tried playing the game for the last two albums she still wasn't truly good enough for them. She lost AOTY Grammy to a child, someone that literally re-branded and re-packaged Rey's style for a younger generation. That must've fucking hurt.

To top it off she had a female critic imply that she suffered some sort of abuse as a child. Like who the fuck dose that. Do you think she would have said that if Lana was a man?

i was just thinking about how at one point "without you" was my all time favorite lana del rey song, and i remembered how i related to it at one point, i mean, it was because i had a HUGE crush on this boy from my school that i had actually never spoken to   but 16 year old lemonadeheavens was really infatuated and having a lot of feelings! i don't think it was unhealthy for me, it helped me understand my feelings and i guess i do relate to lana a lot. i understand why lorde thought it was codependent but those are real feelings people have and she should be able to express it. i'm glad i had that song during that time lol.

So it was ok for critics to pan Lana as anti-feministic for describing not so glamorous/perfect relationships? I feel like you've missed the point here, like a lot of people you were so up in arms about Lana daring to mention women of colour in her post, that you've missed the point. She wants every fucking women to express what they want and stop being labeled a certain way by critics and haters. She didn't disregard the hardships that some of them have experienced, or where they are coming from, she just didn't mention it. Like I said it could've been worded better, but here we are.

I whole heartedly agree with Lana's post. I honestly just wish she had taken out the names off it. Lana has legit been at the receiving end of so much hatred in the past ten years, I feel like what she said is the accumulation of ten years of bullshit from critics and twitter/tumblr SJWs, I too like her am fucking fed up with people throwing the word "glamorize" whenever someone tries to be smart and explain her lyrics. It could've been worded better. Lana is obviously a fan of all the women she mentioned in her post, but I can see her frustration of seeing other women express certain views of womanhood in their music and being praised for it and her doing exactly that, but being panned as anti-feministic and problematic.

What I get from this is that Lana wants all women, of all pans of life and horizons, to feel free to express themselves however the fuck they want and I'm here for that.

The more I read on Twitter, the more it seems like most of the hate is coming from people that already hated her and are using this as in excuse to go all in. She'll be fine.

Anyways, my final thoughts are this- Regardless of what anyone thinks she didn't or didn't mean, I think this will blow over in about a week if it even takes that long. People get all worked up over her and then go back to not caring. Controversy has always surrounded her, yet has never seemed to affect her career as a whole. And I don't think that a lot of the people mad are people that listened to her music in the first place.

I really wish she would move out of California for a while it is stagnating her

idk if this would be considered unpopular but i hate how critics and the gp i guess praise the shit out of NFR and say it's her best most "mature" work while saying BTD and UV are childish and cheesy even tho her lyrical content hasn't changed that much, she's still comparing her men to serial killers, singing about cars, drugs, america, cherry coke, the color blue, california, new york, and her desperation and longing to be loved

she has grown away from certain topics like abuse and older men but can you really say something like love song is better than off to the races

Yeah that’s kind of how I feel.
Even her little Mother’s Day speech was telling. A) she’s clearly not cool with her mother right now B) she shouts out the women who aren’t where they hoped to be in life. I feel like that may be her. I remember she said in like 2014 she’d def have kids in 5 years. Yet here we are.

So I feel like, while she’s not totally depressed (“I’m not sad”), she’s also not really satisfied either. I mean, most of NFR was her begging for someone to love her and not abuse her for once. She’s lonely I think
  25. Blue Ink liked a post in a topic by ShadesOfFool in Unpopular Lana Opinions
I think she’s lowkey depressed tbh

I know she’s saying she’s happy and all that, but am I the only one who’s not really buying it? the lyrics of NFR and her own behavior make it seem like she’s not as peachy as she appears.

all of NFR was like “I’m burnt out, I’m tired of doing this, I want a man, I feel like I’m crazy,” etc. I don’t think she’s hardcore depressed, but she seems...defeated? Lonely and just kind of stuck?

I think she takes comfort and in hanging with her girlfriends and chilling by the beach and all that, but I feel like she’s unhappy. Maybe restless.
