tbh what i gather from all this is that the old ~not really getting along~ recently became an overt conflict for whatever reason, bc those posts were ice cold. i feel bad for lana, it kinda looks like she's desperately looking for maternal connection everywhere and anywhere, which gives all the momstagram stuff a different, sadder context.

i don't have the best relationship with my father but if anything i'd rather just not say anything, or say something pretty general. i just couldn't imagine my own actions between me and one other person affecting my whole family especially when we have to come together for holidays etc. it puts her parents and siblings in a kind of awkward/difficult position like they have to pick sides or something. idk maybe i'm completely wrong we don't really know much about her family but this is just my two cents. i guess i just find it awkward that this is so public, i'd understand more if she posted it on like a private fb or something but lol
 
also i'm only 21 but i have such bad baby fever so i totally feel her on that, however if she gets a child before me i'm going to be so upset jealous 

Nah, it's just too much effort and social media posts to insinuate you don't like you own mother, I mean she has every right not to have a good relationship with her, it's her private business. But she also puts it out there that the relationship is not good for her millions of fans to see. 

She's really going above and beyond to demonstrate how much she doesn't feel for her mother, let alone see her as a motherly figure. I'm obviously not in her shoes and I don't know what has obviously caused a rift between the both of them, but I feel like it's too much effort being put into showing you don't like someone on a day that's dedicated to her. If you really don't care for her/don't want a relationship with her, this sure doesn't look like it. It looks like a cry for help honestly.

I must say I am very disappointed. I'm sure years ago Lana's management threw their hands up in the air when trying to deal with Lana. Albums, tours, interviews, promotion etc. need planning and structure and at some point Lana said let me just do things on a whim as my muse guides me. OK fine so now we know how stuff works in Lana land. We deal with it. But to post something on Mother's day referencing "Mothers" and clearly leave your own out is kind of immature. YES as adults we get to choose our friends our "family" and hopefully surround ourselves with people that support us and we can support. Lot's of people have a bad relationship with their parents and there is no law that says you need to have anything to do with them. Lana's Mom may be a flaming asshole but Lana is not 16 and she is not you or me. When she posts to millions of people clearly disrespecting her mother it has to be hurtful and it is just plain adolescent.

True very true in fact but still you don't publicly southpaw your own family on social media for the whole world to see and speculate.  
Like I can understand if she was some angst ridden teen but she's a full grown adult
 
This is one of the very very few horrible things Lana has ever done. There's no justification for what she just did. None.

especially when you know rob is v active and WILL 100% see it. Chuck and Charlie haven’t posted anything about Patty either.

The former is fine, but it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to have your daughter (who has 16m followers) post something about your "replacement" on mother's day. There are far less spiteful ways to acknowledge Candace without shading Patty. 
 
As usual, I'm sure she just didn't think, but the whole thing looks terrible, imo. 

I don't think that's what people find problematic to be honest. Personally I think it's pretty cool that she feels as though she as that strong of a bond with other women that are very close to her. What I find weird and embarrassing is putting your own mother on blast on social media and basically alluding to you not wanting to have a relationship with her/pretending like she doesn't exist. Which would be fine if she didn't make it so public, but I find that to be humiliating for her mother. Also, I don't know the dynamic of their relationship, for all we know Patty has done stuff to Lana that she can't forgive/let go of and vice-versa.
 
But it's still embarrassing, unbecoming, shady, sophomoric and even heartless to do that for your millions of followers on Mother's Day.

So fucking petty and heartless, like using her Twitter as some sort of diary in which she's like "I don't like my mom, I got other friends I can be their mom! Thank you God!". Lanz is familiar with making herself look like a fool.

Maybe that's just me, but like whatever is going on between them, instead of pretending like your own mother doesn't exist and replace her with your older Instabaddie friend, isn't it like the one day of the year you would be the bigger person and try to put differences aside, let go of your anger/issues and try to amend/rekindle things with the one person this whole damn day is dedicated to, no?
