im laughing so hard at this lie detector test. you can literally hear the voices in her head shouting DO WHAT U WANT FT R KELLY when they asked if she'd ever delete a song from her catalogue. and then when they followed that question with "Do you ever regret this collaboration...?" and pulled out a picture from artpop era of her and kermit. Bye

when Ocean Blvd title track dropped and after listening to it for the first time i was like "okay", like it was beautiful but somehow everyone's reactions here made me think that it was a huge epic song like idk Video Games or Born To Die, i had way bigger expectations but it only clicked with me like in 2023 or something when i heard an orchestral mashup of it on instagram or somewhere i don't remember but at that time i was like fuck, it's really THAT song, it really is huge.

When Say Yes To Heaven was released and it was Rick's version instead of a remastered version of the James Ford rework

when architecture/best american record leaked in 2017 i did not understand the love for the song at all, i was like it's so long and boring ughh but now i have been obsessed with the song for 2 years. when the nfr version was released i really really liked it but i didn't really listen to it often. youtube recommended me randomly the demo version one day and i wanted to recall how it sounded like and fell in love.
i remember when everyone called ultraviolence her best album and when i listened to it for the first time i thought it was too slow and tiresome (EXCEPT for west coast) and i did not understand the hype at all until a year after i fell in love with it although it didn't really click with me until 2019. that's when i truly became obsessed with the album and it didn't feel slow and tiresome at all. it really is one of her best works.

candy necklace tbh. i then grew to love it
same with ultraviolence (album). i used to be indifferent about it and think it was boring but as my frontal lobe developed i realised it was the best work of art ever created

i really wish she would open for charli's upcoming brat shows...i think it would be such an excellent opportunity to get some experience performing live somewhere that people are already likely to enjoy her music

I think it's entirely fair to say that if they were sent to be professionally mixed, they should at least be chucked in the "these were strong contenders for release" category.
The whole XCX world debacle at this point really shouldn't have any questions left though imo, and what "questions" there is, I feel like are from fans inventing their own hurdles to jump over.
If I was to strip down and try to abstract all the details, I feel like objectively, we know:
the third album was being worked on for awhile, and then was shelved by the label a lot of material was recorded for it, and some tracks were selected and sent to be mastered tracks and album material leaked, and it played into the decision to shelve the album several songs that were in the running for the album during the "era" were mentioned and teased on twitter in various posts the producers and collabs for several songs created during the "era" were mentioned and teased on twitter in various posts several songs were performed at LA Exchange, Kimmel during the "era", lending weight to the idea that they were intended for full commercial release, but NOT confirming it j/k songs performed during the era were either already confirmed as scrapped or were still up in the air as to whether or not commercial release was a possibility shelved photoshoots that have leaked that were done during the "era" do show a coherent idea/theme was developed Charli has said in an interview that the album wasn't 100% done, and has said over the years that fans have taken what info is out there and ran with it on their own Charli has said in an interview that the covers were done, and she was about to shoot music videos, before the label decided to pull the plug on the album/project Taken altogether, the art direction was decided, a rudimentary tracklist was developed (but not fully finalized), and the "project" was rolling onwards into a "release" phase and out of a "development" phase, but before ink hit the paper on a final tracklist - shit leaked and the project was killed. We know that artists usually record a dickload of material and then spend time pairing it down to a certain number of tracks and total runtime in order to meet the label's (and contract) standard for what constitutes an album. Based on the evidence we have, I feel like we can safely infer that the album was killed and shot dead in the middle of that process, which leaves us with our infamous "Tracklist-that-isn't-a-tracklist-but-it-kinda-is-but-it-isn't."
I think any further/continued "omg what if...." "but what about?" "okay but in this one tweet it seems that...." is just fan masturbation over a time and topic that will never have a solid four walls and a roof over it's head.

Funeral is so good I love when she taps into more serious lyricism, she’s a really good songwriter. This + tap tap revenge are kinda 2 of her best songs. They sound so nostalgic.

Lowkey don’t think 320 versions exist tbh… spike usually bounces his mp3 mixes in 192. But I’d love to be wrong because waterfall real mix lossless would be a dream
