The truth is despite how much we sll think we know what Lana is gonna do next, she always has and always will throw curveballs. We have no idea what’s coming and frankly I doubt the « insiders » have any more idea. Just surrender to the process and experience. Whatever it will be will be the same sonic essence expressed in a kaleidoscope of shocking ways.

Something I personally find exciting is that most of the leaked songs that would realistically make a future record (such as LDR9) were included on Blue Banisters.

While there are certainly a handful of leaked songs I wouldn’t be surprised to see in the future, it’s neat that—barring any new leaks—we’re likely to have a heavier ratio of unheard music!

Off the top of my head, the only songs I could potentially imagine making a current, mature Lana record (even if reworked) include the following: SYTH, Fine China, French Restaurant, NLMG, and ITTJ. I’m sure there are more I’d add, but yeah! I guess you could tack on the Ally Coalition songs, too.

And it IS an American standard, even if from the second half of the 20th century. I like the Perry Como version best. Lana could really do a wonderful version.

I just hope we find out why Lana wore a DNC jacket and why it could pertain to her merch (according to the LDRVillage guy—I can’t remember his name)

All this information(?) we've gotten from insiders(?) today and nobody has said a word about her magnum opus glam metal spaghetti western trap disco 10 minute from the vault classic Dope

so…the only confirmation we’ve gotten today is that LDR x NL is (possibly) scrapped?

has BOZ clarified his “today is the day” statement on Twitter yet? I haven’t seen anything monumental regarding any of his usual artists of interests yet

I completely agree. The type of country music Lana seems to have drawn inspiration from is vastly different than most modern, mainstream country music, and I think the country tracks she performed at the Ally Coalition reflect that.

I almost feel that Lana could segue into country far more successfully than most other mainstream pop/alt artists because of how much country has tinged her past records—even as far back as her Lizzy days.

If executed well, I could see Lana getting major kudos for reviving “old country” in a refreshing, relatable way. I’m really curious to see how Nikki Lane’s involvement shapes the record as well!
