God, if I were her I would delay the album just to spite you all. She doesn't owe you anything. She doesn't have to tell anyone a release date. She can drop the album when she wants.

Good grief, what a worthless place this is.

Peace out! I'm gone! You all need to get a fucking hobby and a life.

What is wrong with you? She said the album was coming out on September 5th. Since she said that there has been no word on a delay or that it's coming out on any other date. Please look at the calendar app on your phone. Is it September 5th yet? Has September 5th come and gone? No. She doesn't need to realize anything. She doesn't need to do anything. Why should care what you think? Or any of us thing? This is all just so absurd.

I agree with you 100%! Rumor is that Lana comes on here and/or that people who work for her do. If they see some of the things being said, people complaining (when Lana released an album a year ago today, just released an audiobook and has a poetry book coming out next month) then the attitude between Lana and her team must be along the lines of "what are people complaining about? Why so entitled? Was Norman Fucking Rockwell, the audiobook of poetry and the upcoming poetry book not enough?". This is what the attitude of Lana and her team would likely be. And if I were Lana after reading all this and seeing how people are bothering her own father, his sister, her team and her friends on Instagram, then I would not respond. I would just release the album when I'm ready. The behavior and entitled attitude of some fans (not all, a majority of the fans are waiting patiently) is something that I know Lana would not be impressed by. Lana and her team are working hard while a select group of fans are sitting behind a computer or a phone badgering people (on social media) who are around her.

The album will come out when it comes out. She never goes longer than two years without releasing a new studio album.

Actually, I don't think she really gives a crap, nor should she. I don't know why so many are so out of control about this upcoming release. She said September 5th. it's not September 5th. What's so hard about just sitting back and waiting until September 5th. This isn't her first time at the rodeo. Her and her team know what it takes to release and album, and know what it takes to release it on time. I'm sure she's much more focused on COCC than people starving for some information on it.

I really mean no offense, but I'm not sure why it's so hard. I came to this thread thinking there would be theories about the album and actual information, but it's literally hundreds of pages of people being out of control and whining.

I just talked to her and it is for National Record Store Day and it has nothing to do with COCC. Sorry to disappoint.

I don't think we'll get an EP and CD or a double CD. She probably wanted to call the album White Hot Forever then either wrote a song call Chemtrails Over the Country Club, or it is a lyric in another song and decided to call the album that.

AMAZING work. I want that picture for my album art. I love the use of Pacific Southwest Airlines and changing PSA to LDR. That's so amazing. As an aviation buff I can really appreciate that. Please share the artwork so we can use it as our album artwork if you'd be so kind. Would be amazing if you did one using Pan Am.

I don't want to know anything or hear anything before the release. I didn't discover Lana until like 9 days ago. I mostly (99% of the time) listen to classical music, but I was listening to Tori Amos "Under the Pink" and thought, "I need to find a new female artist." I just Googled "Best Albums of 2019" and NFR was #1 or near the very top on every single list, so I bought it and now I'm obsessed with Lana. It's such an amazing album. I love female singer-songwriters and consider the best of my generation to be - Sinead O'Connor, Tori Amos, Liz Phair, Alanis Morissette, Courtney Love and Lucinda Williams. With NFR, Lana joins that club for me. So, the last discovery for me was Lucinda Williams back with "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" in 1998, so I'm thrilled to find a new bada$$ female singer-songwriter that I love. It's been a long time coming.

Awe thanks. Use it if you want. I like it better than the real one too.

I already can't wait for her next album. I was shocked when I first listened to NFR at how great it was. It's rare these days, IMO, that we get popular music this great. I consider Sinead, Tori, Alanis, Courtney, Liz and Lucinda the greatest female songwriters of my generation, and with NFR Lana joined them. Some of the songs on NFR really remind me of Tori.

I did listen to Paradise and really like American.

I also read up on her history and it is really sad how attacked she was in the music circle with her SNL performance and people calling her a fake. I am so happy for her that NFR was so critically acclaimed because it sets the record straight.

    aHi All,

I just discovered Lana. I mostly listen to classical music as was listening to Tori Amos a couple weeks ago and thought I needed to find a newish great female song writer. I searched for Best Albums of 2019 and saw NFR at the top of most lists, so I bought it. I'm obsessed and bought all her other albums. I love Born to Die and Lust for Life also. Need to make time to listen to the others.

Only thing is, I don't like the NFR album art, so I found this picture and created my own! Thoughts?
