i understand the uncertainty regarding the sermon interlude. i also can understand Lanas POV with wanting to incorporate her faith into a work of art. for all we know, faith could’ve been what brought her back from a catastrophic period of her life. she’s been open with her alcoholism and mental health issues, her faith could have been the one piece of life that she found strong to hold onto. religions have so many controversial views and beliefs that comes with so much judgement and agony. but with Lana, we know her music is her DIARY. it’s our decision to tune into it or not based on personal religious/non religious views.

the past two albums have BEEN something different though... you literally just don't like her new style and that's fine. but it doesn't rlly matter if she does move onto "something different," as long as what she does isn't what YOU want, you'll still complain

im far from worried about the pastor situation, its on the same album as a song called American whore and her begging to be fucked to death. its giving campy iconic tropico vibe interlude! Im excited 

I love how she puts out the longest and wordiest titles that may seem unmarketable but they still end up being memes all over the internet 
 
It's so funny how Lana was (still is by some people) associated with coke, cigarettes, daddies etc. and now it's poetry, long random titles, sad songs where she gets fucked... 
The growth 

Speculating on its significance on the record is not the same thing as defending it. We have no idea what it is yet so it's interesting to discuss different possibilities of what its purpose will be. I'm certainly not thrilled about the idea of a pastor's sermon, but I believe that Lana has a vision for the record and didn't throw it on to preach at us, because that is not her style at all.

I actually think Tropico was quite critical of it. For me she was expressing how it was unfair for Eve to be condemned for taking a bite of the apple and that it wasn't her fault that the temptation was put in front of her. She even alludes to it again in Paradise is Very Fragile. 
 
She also tells us in I Talk To Jesus only to read the red, which are the words of Jesus. I think she's obviously religious and spiritual but I don't think she follows religion blindly and is aware of the negatives too.

Maybe the interlude is the pastor's sermon intercut with Lana talking to him and asking questions but he just keeps going on with his sermon like he can't hear her at all

at the 1:30 mark of tunnel under ocean blvd there’s that signature noise from the BTD that sounds soo good, it feels nostalgic 

I think LMLYLAW and DYK were good choices of first songs to release. I loved how LMLYLAW sounded like NFR and this one is reminiscent of BB. I love sudden jumps like BTD-UV-HM but I also find smooth and gradual progressions really satisfying 
 
I think the album is going to be varied enough that people who loved and people who hated BB will be equally happy with the result

- amazing covers and photoshoot (and boobs)
- long album
- out in the first months of the year 
- Zach fucking Dawes
- the background singers 
- an actual interesting announcement (and we got the full preorder and the song instead of having to wait til friday)
And there's probably more.
 
This era feels like a dream. Everything seems so promising

I'm kinda sad about the fact that this is her first album without Rick

I love WCE and I wouldn't have minded if she used it for her album instead of Euphoria.
 
Obviously now that it's out it has no reason to be on the album and I prefer it that way cause more space for new songs  but sonically I love it and it has a similar vibe to the title track
