this is my first time ever posting something on lanaboards, hi!!
anyway, I just wanted to point out that the font for RCS on her selfie (as well as the vibes of it) is very similar to the font on the movie poster for 'Picnic At Hanging Rock' (1975) and they both obviously have 'rock' in their titles, so it may be a reach (esp since it's a lesser known film) but it could be a reference as it suits lana's aesthetic... 
 
also... do y'all remember when she posted some picture of herself where she was referencing Hitchcock's 'The Birds' (something about Bodega Bay) and we assumed she was shooting something? Was that for the COCC MV or do we still not know what that was for?

Now that Elle, Elle, Elle, Elle, Elle and Nicki Minaj have had hit threads about Chemtrails, Lana’s Engagement, American Standards, Summertime (The Gershwin Version) etc - can I please go back to posting about being excited, feeling ready by preparing for the awards even if the ceremony is not perfect, or what categories we have - or whatever I want -without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing LanaBoards??????
 
Im fed up with Lana stans and Charli XCX saying that I glamorize LanaBoards when in reality I'm just a glamorous person posting about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive members all over the world.
With all of the topics Lana stans are finally allowed to explore I just want to say over the last ten years I think it's pathetic that my minor thread exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my posts has often made people say I’ve set Lana stans back hundreds of years.
Let this be clear, I'm not not a Lana stan -but there has to be a place in stanism for Lana stans who look and act like me - the kind of Lana stan who says no but Allie X stans hear yes- the kind of Lana stans who are slated mercilessly for being their authentic, delicate selves, The kind of Lana stans who get their own stories and voices taken away from them by stronger Lana stans or by Radiohead stans who hate Lana stans.
 
I've been honest and optimistic about the challenging replies I've had.
News flash! That's just how it is for many Lana stans.
And that was sadly my experience up until the point that those posts were made. So I just want to say it's been a long 10 years of bullshit replies up until recently and I've learned a lot from them
but I also feel it really paved the way for other Lana stans to stop
'putting on a happy face' and to just be able to say whatever the hell they wanted to in their posts-
unlike my experience where if I even expressed a note of sadness in my posts, I was deemed literally hysterical as though it was literally the 2012s
Anyways none of this has anything to do about much but I'll be detailing some of my feelings in my next two posts in this thread with the Lipster Categories and How to vote. Yes I'm still making personal reparations with the Lipster Trophies going to their respective members which I'm very happy about. And I'm sure there will be tinges of what I've been pondering in the next Lipsters Awards happening on January 17th.

Welcome to LANALYSIS, where we get real unhealthy in our obsessions and absolutely revel in it.

This is a project I've been maintaining for a while now--Lana + Analysis...get it? The basic purpose is to relate every one of her songs (that's right, every last one of them) to her known and assumed relationships. Not a stone is left unturned. Privacy is violated. The fans rejoice. Mind you, it’s all pure speculation, but ~this is what makes us stans~

- Did Chris C. matter enough to her for her to write songs about him?

Assumptions Made:
- Lana was a gogo dancer.
- K is a drug dealer/murderer, dead or on death row.
- Jimmy is her ex-fiancé, addicted to cocaine despite a Wikipedia page stressing how healthy he is, associated with Chevrolets.
- Much of Sirens is about completely different relationships.
- She fucked Bradley.
- Mike controlled her career but their relationship wasn’t associated with anything fucked up like drugs or stripping.

For the sake of believability, I'm always hunting receipts, and currently:
- The interview where she refers to "Yayo" as the prequel to "Video Games"
- The interview where she describes "Video Games" as dealing with mutual sobriety in a relationship--her and her partner both staying clean.
- The interview where she talks about meeting her boyfriend in rehab and being dazzled by his small-scale celebrity.

One of the things that strikes me about our singer is her image.Del Rey managed to evolve through the years. in 2012, on her first album ,BNT, Lana looked like a lost girl looking for safety in abusive relationships.
In 2019, on her album NFR, Lana is mature and firm as a woman, she has questions about politics and culture but also about her maternal side seen on ´´how to disappear´´... The new album has a lot to offer us !!!

"they say that madness swings to genius" is a quote that i really like and it stuck with me, i really hope she explores that concept on the album / or perhaps on ldr8, i feel like this is a new era for her artistry entirely and i think she's in a very positive, creative spot right now! 

the way she said "fucking asshole" and "or at least, I used to...before YOU FUCKING LEFT.. hahuh anyway"

Wow you summed up my feelings about Lana really well tbh.
When she said she decided to release Violet because she was proud of how honest it was, I kind of took it as like 'eh another hippy dippy thing Lana would say' but after reading it and really sitting with it for a while, it makes perfect sense and has helped color the way I see her. 

More OT: This is actually just like perfectly comedic. Her reading off 'Happy' at the super loud typewriter with her nails, checking her phone, her makeup being so done but being in a bathrobe, the LDR monographed on it like she knows she's rich, the questionaire formatted like a question for an influential thinker or maybe a beauty pageant contestant, the camera angles in the bathtub... It's literally so camp. I love it.
