I still use Wild At Heart and Dark But Just a Game. The rest...I need more time to want to revisit it. I listened to White Dress the other day and it is a heartbreaking track of a singer reminiscing on a time before she was famous. Quite beautiful, sad, poetic, magical, etc. White Dress is a great song

    identical to the released version.
charli said sky took months to get back to her/finish her verses.

sky ferreira took months to get back to a fellow artist who asked her to record like two verses worth of lines, she didn't change a single word and sent back that muffled, garbage quality recording. you can hear how clear charli's vocals are mixed and sky sounds... distorted and muffled.

    let that sink in.

the sympathy and attention she gets from her sob stories and victim playing scratch that itch far more than actually following up on her promises, seeking legal help if needed and being a professional consistent artist. she's not stuck or blocked, capitol lets her do whatever she wants - yes they appear to be assholes with money, making her record ntmt in 2 weeks or so with her money, telling her to shoot a video on an iphone... i get it, not having your label support you financially is a shame and makes things difficult. but the only reason why she hasn't gone independent is because she will end up having to self fund everything and that's not what she wants, she wants the $$ to play as she wants and she uses the lack of money as her excuse, her sob story for every interview she did this year. she has full creative control, picking don't forget and downhill in mid '10s as her singles, doing her videos and tracklists as she likes, working with the producers she wants. no one's blocking her from doing anything. she subconsciously enjoys the position she is in right now because it benefits her in some way being in this victim role, otherwise she would have done any of the things mentioned here ages ago to at least get stuff out. there are artists far less fortunate than her who fund their entire careers out of pocket with whatever little they have, she believes she is entitled for a lot more and until she gets that she is going to play this game. i don't doubt capitol was hurt cause she fought to switch her image back then and played by her own rules, she must have been a difficult brat for sure and i believe that they compromised by telling her "okay, you can cosplay as this DIY indie alternative artist, but there won't be any budget for you girl" and that's what she got. but deep down she wants to be that manufactured girl behind the scenes, but she wants to have the DIY authentic indie persona. how many identical writer demos or dev hynes type of stories we gon hear about her to realise she goes into the studio and practically gets stuff made for her she just records some vocals for and pretends it's all authentic and genuine. "She went on to say that it “bothered” her that Hynes sings “Everything Is Embarrassing” live and introduces it as a song he wrote for her". of course it bothers her that the truth is told and it exposes her phony authenticity. haven't we all heard those identical writer demos for songs made years after? no genuine songwriter would be questioned like this regarding their input, except for dua lipa who also does the same shit but she is another story. this is why you won't see her going independent even though she can and you can tell she cares more being a victim, feeling entitled and having public drama with her label. if she cared so much about being an actual artist, you'd see it from her live performances and gigs. but no, she had to show up significantly late to every show, have "sound issues" (you just can't sing girl) and look like she just crawled out of a hole. everything is really embarrassing huh.

................  if Sky Ferreira truly wanted to be "free" from Capitol Records she could and should find a lawyer instead of making delusional and gullible people believe she's being held captive in some sort of.... #FreeBritney situation....she's not in any sort of conservatorship. this is a truly sick woman....with MANY mental health concerns just like her fanbase!

yes people are that blind. they believe Sky Ferreira and her music are being held captive by Capitol Records. just an extremely delusional fanbase. it’s sort of sad to see. #FreeSkyFerreira and don’t forget to sign the change.org petition. we’re almost at 5,000 meaningless signatures!!

ALSO: Lust For Life really gets a bad wrap with the fandom. This was a really ambitious record for her and it felt like she had some messages she really wanted to get across. There's a unifying feeling about the album that I really enjoy and makes for sweet listening.

Change is the essential song of the album to me, because it sort of encompasses everything I feel she was trying to do and say with the album.
I love how she completely changed Beautiful People from a song about suicide, to a song about empowering humanity - it really felt like a big warm hug to us for her to do that. It's inspiring tbh.
Plus Get Free too, there's another record where I feel like she was showcasing change and healing. I really appreciate the album a lot for these moments alone.

Also, Tomorrow Never Came is truly a beautiful song. It feels like a song from the 60s-70s in that, it's such a simple yet beautifully written song that could be from that era of music. The Sean Lennon feature was everything and a moment I'm sure for Lana herself! The chorus and bridge to this song is EVERYTHING. This song gives me chills tbh.

Then we have the songs on that album that feel like CLASSIC Lana, like Cherry, 13 Beaches, Heroin, and LOVE. Though Love is not well liked from what I've seen, it was a great lead for the album it's on, a very lighthearted single from Lana I think we all needed that at the time.

All in all, it gets a really bad wrap and I'm tired! It's one of her best works. AND COACHELLA IS NOT A BAD SONG, IT IS ACTUALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL LET'S STOP THE HATE.

I love that Lana has sung about domestic violence, substance abuse and death. It's what has made her unique, and I love her for sharing that experience with her listeners. As someone who relates, I find great solace in her music.

Also, Cola being about Harvey Weinstein is a big kiii. She really gave no fucks. She's a legend for that idc. One of her best songs too.

TEA! THESE LYRICS ALONE MAKE ME SO TEARY EYED:

I NEVER MEANT TO BE BAD OR UNWELL
I WAS JUST LIVING ON THE EDGE
    RIGHT BETWEEN HEAVEN & HELL
    AND I'M TIRED OF IT

She looks gorgeous! But the music is so mediocre now. The production is good, but the lyrics and subject matter are cringeworthy garbage.

Froot was her last good album. I don’t think she has much left in her. At least her first three releases are solid masterpieces.

Imagine defending Dr. Puke! Now, I still listen to Era 1/Clarity and other Dr. Puke productions, because, well, they're some bops! However, we can't be out here upset that people don't want to support him.

At this point I hope Lana doesn’t release shit and goes into hiding because some of you don’t deserve shit with the way you talk about her. It honestly pisses me the fuck off because she doesn’t deserve this shit. She’s worked so fucking hard and has not stopped making music and all some of you do is fucking bitch and whine about dumb ass shit. I feel so bad for her. She deserves so much better fans. Again this level of entitlement is so toxic and honestly delusional.

She has not stopped she’s put out great bodies of work and again, YOU HAVE SO MANY LEAKED SONGS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS AND YOU’RE STILL SO FUCKING UNGRATEFUL AND ENTITLED. Seek fucking help to that user and to anyone who agrees or thinks like them.

Y’all deserve nothing. No new album. No new book. No nothing. Y’all really don’t. Sorry.

I'm just glad I never got jabbed. My intuition told me something wasn't clean in the water. Thankfully, my family and friends all felt the same, so I didn't have to deal with scrutiny from the people closest to me.

Yep! And it’s funny because, the pressure for mass vaccination has seemingly completely died down. Major cities lifted vaccine mandates that were implanted just months later. It was all one big circus.

Look at what the user I quoted above had to say….some of these “fans” do not give a fuck about her as a person. They just see her as a product who must meet their demands. All that resentment for projects that she didn’t follow through on for fucking what? When y’all have DECADES worth of her material that was NEVER supposed to be there for you to listen to. The entitlement is fucking scary and disturbing and some of these so called “fans” need to get a fucking life and stop living so vicariously through her like this.

Again, you have DECADESSSSSS worth of her music ON TOP OF 8 officially released albums. And you’re still crying about this project or that project or an unreleased compilation album when you literally have all of those songs already? Literal psychopaths I’m sorry idc.

If you really can’t respect her choices as an artist and are so fucking bitter and projects that fell through then you need to go be a fan of somebody else because the obsession and fixation on things like that is so unhealthy. It’s as if she doesn’t actively make music with the way some of these “fans” speak about her. Like grow the fuck up FFS.

I mean I agree. Stans need to accept that she's contractually obligated to work with or at least do business with him and there's probably little she can do about it. We all saw what Kesha went through so complaining about it is redundant. All we can hope for is that she experiences mild success and can eventually get out of her contracts with him.
