to help her get into the role, but she did not create the script and had no control over the words her character would say...she wrote the bio to help her understand how to present Patricia....whats not clickin

It's so crazy to find so much people who I share the same feelings with here: Relentlessly craving these songs 10+ years ago and today waking up to them, of course with sprouting feelings but my reaction to them has been 180 different to what it would had been back then.

I usually try to just avoid artists that I don't care about musically, but some are just too inescapable to ignore. Lady Gaga rubs me the wrong way with her post-Artpop (or even post-Born This Way) releases and the way she's (still) portrayed as some kind of pop visionary. Like, she's always had a sense of pretentiousness to her, but with The Fame Monster or Born This Way, she had the music to actually back up that kind of behaviour and it pretty much felt like an essential part of the whole "Gaga" package; with her newer stuff and especially Chromatica, on the other hand, it almost sounds like she's parodying herself.
Taylor Swift is another super popular singer that is kind of a difficult one for me. I find her very fascinating as a person and a businesswoman; I love the badassness of just rerecording her entire back catalogue, and I also think she's a pretty great writer. But I can't get into her as a singer. I just don't find her voice particularly enjoyable to listen to, and unfortunately she – to me – also isn't one of those singers that despite not having an objectively great voice can still turn it into greatness with their unique style and just the kind of music they make (I'm thinking Gwen Stefani, for example, or Amy Winehouse or even Madonna). So yeah, although I have a lot of respect for her, I just can't really get into her music.
And finally, Ed Shitrat AKA the Devil himself, but we all already knew that.

the way that we all know 2022 will be nothing different from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and we can't do nothing about it.

I don't think the smoking is the problem. Plenty of other major singers smoke daily and sing perfectly well, and although I'm not a professional, I can safely say I've been smoking for years now and I've had no problems with my singing voice.
I think the biggest problem (aside of singing while sick and touring ofc) is her using stressful techniques and fighting against her own voice. She seems to push herself into an uncomfortable pitch too often as well. For instance, if she admitted to having trouble hitting the notes for "Play Date" live, I can't imagine the tones she used throughout K-12 were any less stressful for her. She's definitely done permanent damage to her voice, but hopefully if she rests and takes the time to learn better techniques, she can stop the damage from progressing further.

If you look back at old shows of her live, such as this one, you can actually tell that similarly to Britney Spears (who, like Mel, has pushed a babyish tone for years) once had a strong alto ranged voice. I think so long of pushing that baby voice is a huge factor to the vocal damage. The insane touring schedule deffinetly hit hard too but that's common under Atlantic.

I knew her voice was damaged after the tours and sickness, but it's worse than I thought in "Garden_2".
Pushing through the strain isn't helping her. I hope she takes a legitimate break after the new album comes out and takes time to rest her voice without the pressures of recording and performing.

Yeah. Actually I don't mind The Weeknd on Tears in the club. The song just doesn't click with me. I've not been too keen on the post-magdalene singles so far.
No complete dislikes but everything she had released before were instant crushes for me, almost shocking how different some were to what was out there.
I'll give this projet it's chances tough.
Oh I forgot about Trust in me. We never got the full version of her indigo child anthem.
I agree, Magdalene would have been a perfect musical. We did get it somehow with the live shows. I hope we'll get professional footages of the whole thing someday. I've seen it twice but of course it's not enough

I would like to see some less dance-leaned songs like Human, I guess there were songs in that vein before taking the direction the final FN has
