this label contract really fucked her up… she used to be so much more consistent in her releases when she was independent

Lmao she's been teasing a new release for 5+ years. Omg multiple festivals? The bare minimum you say? We should all be super grateful. Her only legit career is to be a singer, she should be grateful that she still have such patient fans and gets discovered by new fans. She should be grateful if people don't forget to stream and buy her new music after nine years since the last album. She's not giving anyone anything, she's selling her music and making money off festivals. It's funny and naive how stans fell like an artist is giving them a gift by releasing music when it's literally their job to do that. It's like thinking that Rihanna is giving them makeup through testers/samples at Sephora.

(This is just my opinion obviously) But i kinda feel like she spent years on perfecting the first songs she released since she took a few years off between her first EP (That went nowhere and eventually got pulled off streaming services) and I Don't Want It At All and nowadays she just releases pretty much anything she records right away so she can't perfect it as much and reflect on it. So her new songs (Even tho her last two singles were really good imo) obviously suffer from it

i used to call her a “pop scientist” because the girl can genuinely write a good, catchy hook. but i rarely even revisit a few clarity tracks… cus damn is she gatekeeping that talent or what?!?!  Heart of Mine era was such a missed opportunity for an even bigger debut. honestly if she were to release era 1 on 2xLP she would be set up for a good enough amount of time to take a hiatus and return with something rly well crafted. 

that makes sense, her first era definitely seems more thought out than her recent stuff. she has a lot of potential and her voice is out of this world so i hope she puts extra time and thought into her next project, though i’m sure her label plays a big part in how fast she has to release music

it makes me SICK how in every post about the fire there's thousands of people saying "karma" because of the x factor thing. GOD I HATE EVERYONE THAT STILL CARES ABOUT THIS SHIT TO THIS DAY, anyone with more than 2 braincells knows that it was staged and even if it wasn't, HOW IN GOD'S NAME is being rude to a contestant on an irrelevant reality show a good motive to 7 YEARS of being bombarded by hate everywhere she goes???? 
 
people make me sick. very sad and i'm glad she's ok, knowing her history since she was a child i know she's such a strong person and will be fine, but everything that happened to her after x factor and now this just makes me so so sad. i also love her music and now we're not gonna get a comeback for a good while (not that this is the most important thing about this situation, you know) 

If something is out in March, like she "confirmed", then the promo should begin in a couple of weeks.

Unless Capitol or Sky said "NO PROMO" and then we will be lucky if she shares a pre-save link or anything.

But at this point, I won't believe shit until the album is out (won't believe on false starts like Downhill Lullaby)

First one doesn't match the dark outer space vibe of every song she teased AT ALL. If we really need to pick, it's 2. But what was the point and effort of creating the elf/alien/angel ones if she's not using them ffs?
