    MIMA is one of my favorite albums. Each song feels like a chapter of a memoir or a page from a diary. It feels like this woman is reflecting on these relationships years later. And I love that!  I hope the next album is like this (she did tease a "sister album" so hopefully it'll be similar). I hope we get some type of announcement soon. Even if Nicole just releases b sides on Bandcamp I'd be happy.

    YES I agree so hard. Unbecoming is my fav <3 her releasing it and Orbweaving both in the same year is insane

    yeah i discovered Orbweaving a few months ago and loved it but Unbecoming is truly on another level

    Vyva Melinkolya is a solo music project by Angel Diaz, a transgender artist, musician, and photographer living out of Pittsburgh, PA. She is originally from Louisville, KY.
     
    In 2023, she released the record Orbweaving, made in collaboration with Ambient / Slowcore artist Midwife, out of indie label The Flenser, showcasing her influence and personal, almost 'blurry' melancholy. 
     
    Later that year, Diaz released a second album, Unbecoming, a darker, more personal project dedicated to victims of intimate partner violence.

    i understand why, but i hate artists who delete their shit like every 2 weeks  one of my favs, kelsy karter, does this and it's SO annoying. like girl, i'm just trying to archive shit !!

    Agreed! The only poems she could rewrite as is are the ones she recorded with Jack (she mentioned there were six or seven).

    She doesn't even remember the lyrics to her officially acknowledged and released songs so I doubt it. Poems are usually more lengthy and complicated anyway so it makes sense they are just gone and she barely remembers a few lines from them.
