I also love this cover of the original, it sounds great sung in a slightly slower melachonic female voice. I discovered this song many many many years ago when my French was much much much better than it is now  but I still remember all the lyrics, which have such a beautiful meaning

I was listening to My My, Hey Hey today and the lyric it's better burn out than to fade away reminded me of this part of Lana's Times interview from last year....
