NFR album cover is so fucking good and I remember being gagged (but also confused because there was so much going on lol) when it first dropped. I would kill for an iconic cover like that again.

According to the fire map highway beach houses numbers 19000-19300 were affected (or they could be)(https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents) If you will look at the pic from twitter there are more burned down houses than just one. HBTB house number is 19562 and this house is seperated from the others. (19562 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265, USA). So HBTB house is safe... (I think so). Nothenless sending prayers to the people that lost houses in such a tragedy. Stay safe

i remember visiting yosemite/wider cali in early 2019 and seeing how lush it was then revisiting in 2023 and seeing how bad the 2019-22 fires devastated the area.. really sending love to everyone affected and hoping they listen to the fire experts advice and the injury toll is as minimal as possible

Recent decades have been very dry and the dying vegetation, trees, etc. become susceptible to ignition*. Geographically, when winds flow out of the northeast in this area, there’s a downslope effect off of the mountains. This brings dry air down toward the coast and downsloping also works to heat the surface, which acts to make the humidity drop even more (drying the air).
I can’t speak to this specific fire. All it takes is one spark when conditions are ripe. *It could be a cigarette, a truck sparking a flame on a gravel road, a campfire that wasn’t fully put out, an errant lightning strike, or more nefarious reasons. When the wind is strong and the earth is dry, these fires can spread and get out of control very quickly.
Large fires can’t easily be contained, so it usually comes down to atmospheric conditions easing, so the spread slows down and it can hopefully be put out.
It looks like the dry conditions and downslope winds will continue through at least Thursday, but gradually fading into the weekend.
Hoping that those in the area can stay safe and that destruction is limited 😞🙏

I remember when the pre-release buzz for NFR had fans theorizing that the cover would mimic the style of a Norman Rockwell painting. Instead, Lana delivered a new American iconic image—perfectly capturing that era (late 2010's) with the neon green "insta baddie" windbreaker, the LA fires in the background, and her invitation to view the world through her unique lens. I can’t wait to see how she transforms the gothic or country aesthetic into something unmistakably Lana Del Rey. The majority of her album covers are instantly recognizable and have their own place in pop culture forever. Hoping, praying, wishing for another iconic album cover like BTD, LFL, NFR

People expecting UV numbers and impact when the only description we’ve gotten of the album is “sirens on a budget” while sirens on a budget is my dream, the GP is still stuck on 2012-2014 Lana production, and while Ocean had some nice big production moments, that doesn't seem to be the direction of this record.
in regards to the alleged artwork producer, i really liked his work on Endless Summer Vacation, and I could easily see him take the Wyatt photoshoot and turn into something really hot summer night in the bayou esque. But, him posting a grainy picture of video games era Lana, with video games as the caption, makes me think it might be something not TRPWS related

Why are some of yall so mad that some of us, like me, don't like this type of sound tho
Punish still slaps, but yeah I'm not going to revisit this album much unfortunately
Love the visuals though and I guess they match the sound

I honestly have to respect how Ethel stans truly do the most in creating an off-putting aura towards her and her art I remember around preachers daughter release when @the ocean lied about Ethel wanting this thread taken down for the sole purpose of gatekeeping when the thread was basically just them and another member cirlce jerking about being in the exclusive Ethel discord and the lana comparisons discourse oooh what a time that was im listening rn Im on track 3 and its great so far! I feel like Im naked and damp sitting in the corner of a dingy ass trap house slipping and sliding on broken glass n shit wondering how I got here from my once seemingly perfect golden suburban upbringing . saw someone on twitter call it skinamarink vibes and thats so true adore that movie

For one, we're on LanaBoards… and second, the person you quoted is an Ethel Cain stan who wasn't saying anything negative about the album

girl the instagram post is flooded with admiration and love. I just skimmed through the comments and could not find a single bad one. if they are there, they're buried deep in the mass amount of positive comments and surely have 100 people responding in defence of her. so why are you honing in on this as though the majority of people are sending her hate when the reviews are for the most part incredibly positive?
people are allowed to dislike the record btw.
insufferable
