Honestly Sky exists in my head in two parts: this song, and 24 Hours. That's it. That's the artist.

Her best electropop song EVER. 
 
That's the only song from that EP that I listen almost daily.

Her pre-NTMT music was dreadful and it was clear as day that the label wanted to push her into that genre.
 
I think the whole situation with Sky and Capitol is a deadlock. I’m no Sky apologist, I believe she's partially at fault but seeing how the same label has handled other female artists like Tinashe, Normani and even Halsey, I wouldn’t put it past them to hold Sky hostage in a way.
 
I believe that they are not willing to increase her budget if she refuses to make an album according to their wishes. I also believe that she doesn’t like the album she recorded so far. It really sounds like mixed bag and a bleached version of NTMT. Far more mainstream and less grungy. I think they are still having disputes and she can’t afford getting out of her record deal.
 
Like I said: deadlock. Her concert issues might be related to her lack budget. The musicians need to be paid, rehearsals, etc. I think she really is broke as fuck and stuck with a label who isn’t willing to promote or support her in any way cause she owes them money.

Let me come out as the delulu who actually likes ALL THREE Downhill Lullaby, Don't Forget and Descending. Are these her best three songs ever? No. Are they groundbreaking material? No. Do any of these scream lead single material? No. Do I like listening to them? Yes.
Am I tired of waiting for Masochism? Yeah, that too. Can't wait for Masochism_files.zip (121 MB) to suddenly appear one of these good days, and finally rush away from here

I hate it because of the "Blue" sample. I don't think it's that great. It wasn't that great to my ears when it was released. It's still not that great now. Let it go.

I don't hate Guetta, but he's just 'aight' for me. I don't think he's sonically any more special or great than Calvin, Tiesto (who **used** to push/shape the Trance/Dance landscape...), or Dave Aude - to me it's just a lot of generic 4/4 Club Twink bop filler music.

Now that's the Masochism I would have loved and that would have all the critics crazy for her. 
 
So far what we have heard of Masochism has been either plain good or ok-ish.
 
I don't blame her for taking this long to release her album. Critics will laugh at her if after 10 years she releases something mid. 
 
She must accept that she is not fucking Fiona Apple or a musician mastermind, she is just a pop singer whose craft will get better album after album. 
 
NTMT really made her feel like a genius even though it's flawed af. Sure it has a nice sound but the mixing is awful and it sounds cheap af even though there are amazing gems like YNTO and NTMT.

I agree with everyone voicing their frustruations but some of you are so over the top. Like jesus christ

I think it's the dichotomy/range. She's got songs that are lyrically intensive and emotional, and then you've got the ones that are stupid and nonsensical. Something something "art imitates life" and all, but it's exhausting always being in this mental space of "intelligent and emotional and deep" 24/7. It's nice to flip that shit off sometimes and just clean your kitchen half naked rocking a wedgie in yesterday's hair and makeup going "I'm a hot girl, rich girl bitch girl......"

Exactly-you hear how it evolved from the title track.
