Paul Thomas who shot the soundcheck came through for the fans also with concert fan cam . . . I needed a good view of Candy Necklace, er, I mean a clear audio. This has it! HOW do Blake, Byron, Lana, et al, keep the music atmospheric in front of a festival audience? Listen how Blake does the subtle notes to compliment Lana's voice. It is like old school jazz, with a small band where the drummer uses brushes and the instruments speak a language the musicians only know, but let the audience in.

No. Lolapalooza 2018 in Brasil Lana was mic'd right! Listen to the quality of Lana's voice on the sha la la la la and the trill at the end as she improvises at the beginning of White Mustang . . . in front of 150,000 in the audience? I remember reading . . . There were 300,000 tickets sold for that year.
Lana's voice was recorded properly for Multishow at the 2018 Lolapalooza, example, above ^^.!
That year, Lana had master live sound engineer Kevin Madigan. It is so interesting to me, I read all about him! He is Front of House, mixing and recording engineer, in front of a tour console for two decades . . . I don't know if he specifically was at that Lans's Lolapalooza Brasil, but it sounds like it! He was in charge at the US leg of LA to the Moon. It got great reviews. The Toronto Star reviewer said it is only huge sports hall concert he left and his ears weren't ringing!

The mic or monitor becoming unplugged is what caused the glitchy audio at the start! Lana is fastidious with her vocals audio quality, so this mic slip caused what could have been a disaster, but it got fixed when she changed her costume. That is why I think she took extra time in the dressing room scene . . . to fix the mic issue. Alex saw what was going on and tried to help.

Since this thread discussion about videos is speaking about Nikki Lane jumping in the water with Jenny, the song BB is not off-topic . . . Is the lyric printed on the dust jacket? I just played the mp3 of Blue Banisters purchased from Amazon a while back, and the lyric sounds very much like "It's of age." Your observation makes it occur to me Lana is transposing "it's a bane" for "it's of age," as she often does within the song, like "The kids were young and pretty" and at the end, "And we were young and pretty" on Old Money. Except she did it on an album sleeve instead of in the song itself. It would make sense. One "bane" of Hollyweird is men being paired in films with young actesses half or a third their age . . . and men in general wanting to date young women. It is an ongoing conversation in Hollywood there are many beautiful, accomplished women over 50, but not many men available who are suitable matches for them. And the ones up in age - one, an actor, was quoted as saying men like to date young because they can "mold" a younger woman more easily than a mature one. A mature, successful woman is already set in her ways. Society keeps reflecting the movies. The reason so many old, old men are paired with young women in film is because those films are made by men, directed and written by men! And that is a fantasy of an old man, to marry a younger woman who adores him. It is simply not reality. For instance, Audrey Hepburn was 34 paired with 59-year old Cary Grant in Charade. 25-year old Audrey lived happily ever after with 55-year old Humphrey Bogart in Sabrina. One of the most egregrious examples is Catherine Zeta-Jones paried with Sean Connery in Entrapment when she was 30 and he 69 - more than twice her age! Movies are littered with these age gaps which spring from mens' fantasies.
In conclusion, maybe I project meanings to Lana lyrics which she didn't intend . . . but I can't help it! Like, these are EXACTLY the blue banisters Lana is referring to in BB . . . they are from the Queen Elizabeth's Greenwich apartment, and the pic Lana posted when she is looking up at them.
At the same time, Lana was tweeting or posting to IG about the beautiful union between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 . . . I can't remember is it condolences, or, an anniversary or what the occasion is.

There has been talk that fans cross the line if they believe Lana is speaking directly to them, so I want to add an addendum that Lana is intimate from the stage with her fans. It is one of the appealing things about Lana the artist, when she sings to each individual attendee as though she is sharing a secret with that one, warm in a cold world. She added lyrics at the end of Chemtrails in Hyde Park. The mainstream press picked up on it. I used Lanaboards and the Hyde Park thread to express myself - yes - back to Lana and to any fan who read it as though we are in a coffee shop discussing back and forth . . . as though she read it . . . It is out of my system . . .
Lana's personal life is her business, but when she chose to share, I put two and two together . . . I don't have to live Lana's life but I can still learn from it. That is what great art does . . . Lana is intimate with her fans, esp. since the Blue Banisters era. Look at the shock on her singles picsart covers. So now we know what is behind it.

What is behind it is what she went through . . . Lana is a human. She was misled. Lana was told and made to believe things were one way, then the rug got pulled out from under! And a lot got expressed.
We now know she experienced that tragedy which afflicts more women than is reported, a rape, at a young age from Ocean Blvd. We got a hint things weren't right in her upbringing in Blue Banisters, which came out more in Ocean Blvd, and the losses in her family which hit her hard. Fingertips is for me! "Two seconds to be me."
So I felt an obligation to respond. No matter if I appear delulu.

Candy Necklace melody and Lana's vocal are gorge! Not to mention Byron Thomas' tinkling piano and ad libbed outro. We're getting to enjoy the long-time musicians in new levels . . .

So Lana contributed without insisting she get producer credit. Lana is concerned with making good art foremost. It is not mutually exclusive to make good art and to market it . . . Good stuff resonates! That is how Lana built her career. We fans prefer the good stuff.

After what I said Snoop posted on his IG stories love for Candy Necklace! Look at the effort with the heart shape cutouts of Pharoah Snoop, and the "Love you." It is insider appreciation . . . from a colleague, a fellow musician! Makes a material award like a grammy seem dingy and hollow!
