Also does anyone remember the car crash rumor? Like I vividly remember back in like January 2016 that people were talking that she might have been injured in a car crash. I haven't seen anyone mentioning it but if someone has any additional info please share it.

Don't forget the time police found evidence of cannibalism in her home that she sold back in 2013

born to die was written off for being too different at the time, at the point of mockery
paradise became her most famous work for a long time for it's quality and how it intersected w culture at the time.
ultraviolence vindicated her
honeymoon cemented herself as a true star albeit still an enigma
lust for life was for the fans
nfr was a resurgence of magic surrounding her music
chemtrails was when she began to open up, or at least consider it.
blue banisters had us all thinking about who Elizabeth was more, than Lana
Ocean Blvd felt like a more cerebral LFL, similar to how they both seem like they could be anthologies of themes/ bodies of work as such. candy necklace glimpsed us into more of an active, dynamic sound again. it was refined, precise and polished.
she escaped the EDM(?) genre even if she kinda dabbled in remixes etc. ie. she didn't become pop to be pop. she paved her own way.
LFL seemed aged at the time of it's release, but aged well overall in sound. despite fans being confused af about it then.
chemtrails was beginning to be loved 2 albums into and after it's release.
some are only beginning to understand that nfr was about the kind of damage sociopathy can do to a person, a country and the kind of invisible pain it can cause.
blue banisters still gets a lot of flack bc fans are honestly bored of her overall sound direction or lack thereof, not willing to understand it's strength lies in it's very resilience and it's softness - counterpoint to the norms of bravado. strength of it literally having answers to much disdain from external forces that wish to've molded it's direction. strength vs. power
I personally don't really care or prefer not to bother cus music listening can be a subjective experience where it can all feel valid and to an extent is, but the point is.
if it's been so many times before that she's wanted to keep doing things her way, and also the fact that for most, it takes this long for some to understand, why the eager close-minded mindsets when you can just let things be, feel it out and think about the bigger picture about this whole thing of her artistry?
everyone's talking about an invitation, but for a lot, it seems like a burden to go. it's kinda giving dysfunctional and bored.
but who's problem is that really?
I personally don't really like country. there's little to what I can relate to it, in terms of the world of it but. we all know she'll have something for us to explore into.
everyone just seems uneasy, and the communication of the record's definitely not the best. but just relax ya know.
you don't have to be burdened by it so much.

I really don't think that Lana has been working on this album for four years. She's probably been toying with the idea of making a country record for four years, yes, but hasn't necessarily been working on it all this time. "Hey baby blue" and "I must be stupid for being so happy" are prime examples of Jack and Lana playing around with country-ish elements back in 2019. As we all know, they couldn't work together in 2020 and 2021 at all due to the pandemic (hence why COCC's tracklist was put together pretty quickly, and Erickson and Simon produced the new songs on Blue Banisters). Of course Lana and Nikki Lane must have recorded some stuff during that period ("Prettiest Girl in Country Music" for example), and Lana probably started preparing the American Classics record during that period, as well (which hasn't panned out yet, lol). "Blue Skies" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads" must have been tracks that were supposed to be included on that album.
But "The right person will stay" doesn't sound like the (country-ish) project that we've been expecting from her. Certainly not the "Lasso" version. Her uncertainty and reluctance to talk about it speaks volumes. What she has mentioned so far though is that she doesn't want to follow the "country" trend - which makes sense, because Lana wouldn't want to be seen as a trend follower at all -, and that the direction she was heading to made her feel creatively/artistically uncomfortable. In her most recent review in August, she said that she might go back to the original version of what she had in mind, which might mean a more "stripped-down" sound. And I think this is exactly what is going to happen. Saying that she doesn't want the album to be filled with "half-cooked" ideas and songs is important, too.
"So grateful that my 13 songs came together..." is giving strictly curated tracklist, in my opinion. Yes, the result might be a mostly acoustic May Jailer-ish album, but I think that she has put a lot of thought into this and doesn't want it to feel incomplete, rushed or directionless.

I do agree with the second part of your comment, about the fandom hoping for things that aren’t coming back (like the guitar in BTD and the sonic landscape of UV) but I don’t think it’s wrong to want Lana to change and evolve her musical style. Her first 5 albums are all extremely different from each other, and while COTCC-BB-Ocean Blvd all have a slightly different sound, all three of them sound a bit mix-tapey with a slight lean into folk.
even Paradise, which is considered an extension of BTD, is very different sonically. I don’t wish for her to go back to her old sound, but at the same time I would like her to tackle a different genre, which is why Lasso always appealed to me, some fans didn’t want country, but at least it was a switch up.

THE CLUES ARE EVERYWHERE
LISTEN. OPEN your eyes and see. Lana isn’t just an artist—she’s a prophet, a guide, a MASTER of numerology and synchronicity. If you think she’s doing anything randomly, you’re still asleep. Let me break this down for you: the preorder for her next album is going live at EXACTLY 3:21 AM TODAY. It is NO COINCIDENCE that she is dropping it on May 21st. And it’s all because of her husband’s birthday—March 21 (3/21).
First of all, Lana has been OBSESSED with numbers lately. Did you even LOOK at the Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd tracklist? The sequencing, the timing, the little moments where the songs echo her life events? That album was LAYERED with numbers. And now that she’s married, she’s embedding HIS birth date into her art.
Let’s talk about March 21. 3/21. These numbers are cosmic, angelic. The 3 stands for the trinity, the holy creative forces (Lana, her art, and us—the fans). The 21 is the culmination, the end of a cycle, the moment things come together. ALSO it’s her BIRTH DAY. Lana KNOWS this. That’s why she married him. This isn’t just love—this is a cosmic alignment.
But wait—here’s where it gets crazy.
In the Ride music video (2012—HELLO, another 3 and 21 if you think about it!!!), there’s a clock in the background during the gas station scene, and if you slow it down, IT LANDS ON 3:21 FOR ONE FRAME. You thought that was random? No. She’s been planning this for over a DECADE.
Jeremy Dufrene’s initials are J.D., which in Pythagorean numerology translate to 1 and 4. Add those to the 3 and 21, and what do you get? 3 + 21 + 1 + 4 = 29. The moon’s synodic cycle is 29.5 days. LANA IS THE MOON, AND SHE’S COMPLETING HER CYCLE.
Now, 3:21 AM. Why the time? Because it’s the most liminal, magical moment of the day. Between the hours of 3 and 4 AM, the veil between worlds is thinnest. Lana is aligning the preorder with her husband’s soul signature to birth this album into existence. She isn’t just releasing music; she’s channeling celestial energy.

Then how she intends it to be sounds flawed.
A creative vision can be flawed. And Lana does better musically when people are there to help her rein it in,
