No matter what the surprise is, I think at least 50% of us will be disappointed. And BoZ might probably have to think twice, before posting like he did (unless he really doesn’t care about any of us think of him: He clearly underestimated LB and our delulu brains, overhyping almost nothing in like two seconds. 

It just sucks that her only songs which seem to trend on tiktok are her unreleased.. oh and doin time.
 
like, I think she’s got some amazing unreleased tracks, but she also has an entire discography of amazing music which seems to go unnoticed on that app.. it’s like my feelings hurt for her  so I hope she doesn’t muddy the water of her new album roll out with unreleased stuff 

let's not be too harsh on Boz now. I mean... the only thing that's got me going right now is honestly the album ...and whatever this surprise is.💀😭
And let's be real, by the looks of this thread... not that many of us here got a lot of excitement in our lives either.

I don’t think it’s slated, some people just associate albums with different parts of their lives and so I think a lot of people outgrow BTD.. like even Lana herself calling it pick me  it’s a great piece of work and it will always have a special place in my heart, but I’m a boring old mam now who’s doesn’t live the exciting life I once did, COTCC probs just fits in with my life much better these days 

Ofcourse, but from the tracks I’ve heard thus far and the spoiler lyrics I’ve read, to me I think this one is going back to roots, self reflection on her life from childhood and very real feelings and experiences that we may all have felt or related to which aren’t inherently from the American dream/fame/the culture. 
 
it all seems much more personal. I know she’s been branded the queen of Americana for years, but I’m not getting that vibe so far! Buttttt I’ve only heard 2 songs, so it is yet to be seen, very exciting 

I don’t think the American dream is going to be represented at all, remember, her other albums were focused on world building, this one is not

when thw album comes out, i'm just gonna listen to it all day with my babies bc i'm boring. it'll be so hard not to listen to it when i get up in the middle of the night with them but i won't have enough time to listen to the whole album at that time plus it could be too stimulating for them so i'll have to wait til morning but at least i can listen to it on repeat for the whole day

I always thought they were midnight local time too, but I’m old af so I can’t stay up to listen  so I always just join in on the morning

We all still love Born To Die. I think we all just accept it’s not her best work, especially with all the better albums she’s released after it….

They’re so different to me I’ll never not count PD as its own entity. Honestly the BTD deluxe tracks and Burning Desire / Tropico / H&M campaign can make it feel like its own era.
