I wonder if it’s because of the production on a lot of the songs. Tay really needs to take a break from Jack it’s gonna be Jack and Lorde all over again. (I think they stopped working together after solar power I think I forget why tho)

Guys. I’m really eating my words. I’m so embarrassed. I’m starting to really like it… Thank you everybody in this thread for letting me post my initial thoughts without grilling me for them…  I’ll take the L this time. TayGod you’re always right I’m sorry for questioning you my queen.
 
I think my initial disappointment clouded my judgement and I wasn’t able to appreciate the album for what it is because I was so hung up on what I wanted it to be

i want to  write a full review but im still processing the standard edition  
i feel like i need to have a full opinion on all the side a tracks before i move on to side b- i just wish i didn't have other things to do 
anyway, a lot of tracks didn't hit first listen, but it's growing on me! fav track atm is guilty as sin, @DemonMic2003 you were so right abt that one

This album hits different when you don’t have a whiny little man telling you how you should feel about it. 
 
also I find it very summery. It literally sounds like a road trip through the Keys at sunset (with Part B being after dusk) 😫

I opened Instagram and the first post in my feed was making fun of Taylor and TTPD. I then opened the comments and people were defending mf Matt Healy saying he’s never done anything wrong and people find any reason just to hate on him??!! No. Just no. 

you cannot complain about music all sounding the same and then be a stan for BEETHOVEN. She ate.

jojo siwa… no one has made this dramatic of a change yet. no one has made, in her generation, that extreme of a switch. 

I think the hate for the album comes from it being too predictable and too long. A lot of people are sick of Taylor at this point and this album, while good, doesn't bring anything new to the table to the average listener. And then of course because people love to hate on her, they take that to the extreme unfortunately.

Yeah so far I’m wishing instead of a double album she would have done a folklore/evermore situation where she put out TTPD this month and TA in like September or October 
 
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m really leaning towards Side A/Jack songs. Side B does have a lot of solid songs but idk it’s a BIT much I think

Why is she getting dragged for like 2 lines from this album when there’s godly songwriting all over it. The world just really hates her that much?

I like some of the first half definitely more than expected but it’s probably going to take me like two weeks to listen to this whole thing
