well I guess the song is for his album, just as I initially thought 
but it's okay I just hope lana is feeling these vibes for her own album too. that intro she played at fenway park sounded more interesting and more promising than tough anyway

but honestly, I would not mind tough as a promo (buzz) single, then lead single in early august with pre-order of lasso. and lasso out in september. 

I recall an insider from ATRL suggested that it is for Lana’s album? The same person also gave lyrics which turned out to be true.

It’s definitely going to be on her album. She has more vocals on the song and it’s melodically and sonically so her - that doesn’t mean it’s not a duet but everything from the song itself to the visuals we saw at Fenway just screams Lana. 

ok so i know i'm full delusional, but just imagine if Lana surprise released Lasso in its entirety on July 4

damn and this might not even be a country album as well
 
Right when I start to feel exciting for country music and the idea of her doing country and the Lasso title has just grown on me...

I understand. However, you might agree with me that Snow on the Beach was not the best collaboration they could have done. I think it was a good song but perhaps Lana not using the high-pitched sound and using a slightly middle to lower register would go well. 
 
Think, for example, of Lana and Taylor collaborating on a song like My Tears Ricochet, The Lakes or Invisible String (both from Folklore). Do you think that would sound better? I definitely think so.

I hope they do collaborate. But we shall see. A Billie Eilish collaboration would also be nice, but I feel that Billie Eilish does not like to be compared to Lana so it seems unlikely.

Pop insider on Twitter said to expect more electronic / r&b / rap sounds in her upcoming material. I find it hard to believe but hey, who knows with her
