I was too late to catch any livestreams but wow — without you sounds absolutely beautiful today. Her voice is shining. She sounds stunning. As for the setlist/outfit, most people attending her concerts aren't super fans watching every single show, so it really won't seem very repetitive. And in my experience, when you're there it doesn't matter anyway whether you've heard it all before, because the high is just too good

I was going to say the same thing! They undoubtably chose the WORST song of the bunch. I love Radiohead but Lana has the DEFINITIVE voice and aesthetic of a Bond movie! Specifically the soundscape of Honeymoon is so perfect for a Bond movie .. I agree 100%! Slightly different cases, but Young and Beautiful and 24 would have been really easy wins I haven't really liked any of the recent Bond movies (actually I don't like any of them very much) but I hope she does a soundtrack for an incredible movie again soon — they never miss

Did you finish it yet? I first started reading Anna Karenina years ago (not even sure when!) but moved house and left the book at home. I just picked it back up again and finally finished it this time. Such a great story and characters (although I do have some gripes with it)!

Typical British weather You'll get people topless in shorts alongside people in full-on winter coats. To be honest for Lana coming from the U.S. it's probably pretty cold here. It's been under 20 degrees. But she clearly remembers how changeable the U.K. weather is because she's wearing the puffy jacket AND sunglasses

Even though the answer about Lasso was kind of confusing (typical Lana), I'm so glad British interviewers ask ACTUAL questions about her work, how she feels, her past, her future, and of course Lasso. I was getting tired of everyone asking her about other artists.

Probably not I would date someone who felt neutrally about Lana, but I would hate being with someone who complained every time I played her music. Plus I think a lot of the reasons for hating Lana (for example the "glorification of abuse") are really sexist and stupid, so it might potentially be a red flag Would you date someone who doesn't speak the same language (one or the other of you would have to learn?)

BTD, Ultraviolence, and now DYKTTATUOB really helped me deal with being groomed and repeatedly r4ped as a child/pre-teen. BTD came out 1-2 years after that happened and strangely enough I think it made me realise within myself that what happened was wrong and it wasn't my fault. I hear a lot of myself in those lyrics. The people who get it, get it. I grew with Lana throughout the years and maybe I'll return and write a longer comment about what she's done to me and what she means to me. But I think the best way I can put it for now is that Lana embodies the artist in us that "doesn't want to d1e but just wants the pain to be over" and expresses that vulnerability, grief, pain, desperation, and cruelty of life while not only reminding us that "life is beautiful" and "the sun also rises on those who fail the call," but also imbuing the world with so much magnificence and artistry that will last through generations and generations to come.

Why did this full on make me SOB cry! The standing ovation It's always so incredible to hear Lana give speeches because you get the impression they are straight from the heart and yet she sounds so composed and intelligent. Hearing her talk about intimate partner violence and seeing her expression - 100% made me cry. YES, women can write about whatever they want!! YES! I love the clear BTD throwback in the outfit which is so clearly inspired by that cover/time and yet so in-keeping with her current aesthetic and fashion. I relate to her so much about not drinking meaning you don't have any friends in the U.K. Literally me. Also, Charlie has a wife? Even if he doesn't and he's engaged or has a GF that's sweet that she acknowledges Charlie's wife (?) as family.
