Getting in my feelings about pop girls again and I'm so sad and angry for Britney... thinking about all the things she wanted to do in her career and all the little things about being a MOTHER she had taken away from her. All she did was work and work and work and make great art and for that she was punished with misogyny, stalking, and control. I get so mad thinking about how someone who affected so many people so beautifully, who is so loving and caring, was so manipulated and hurt for no reason. They ruined her ability to trust, they ruined her relationships with her friends, and it sounds like a lot of her problems with her sons now are also from the conservatorship (whether directly or indirectly through the trauma it caused her). A living legend who could be someone like Madonna or Nelly Furtado as a legacy act making music for herself and nobody else... or you know who else? Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, The Devil Man Who I Still Want Poisoned For His Shitty Guitar Playing @ Britney While She Had A Home Abortion On The Bathroom Floor, BEYONCE are the same age as Britney. Some of these people have their own shows, some are doing comebacks and anniversaries, some are doing... whatever Paris just did, and obviously Beyonce has been Beyonce'ing all over the place for the last two decades nonstop. Sometimes I think about how badly Britney just wanted to perform and do her thing and I get so angry about all the years wasted on forcing her to literally dance for others' amusement and others' wealth. She has lost precious time for her career, her family, her fucking ART to this shit. I think all the time about what Britney would be doing right now-- movies? features? fashion?-- and how she is probably retired forever, from everything, because of how shit everybody was to her for just EXISTING in the public eye. I just can't believe we're here in 2024 and one of our greatest stars is not only alive but really very young, and she will probably never do the thing she loves most in the world again because it was spoiled for her by assholes who will never know real consequences. Fuck all of them and I hope Britney experiences full love, appreciation, and healing in her lifetime.

Unrelated (sort of)... do we think it's a coincidence that she defrosted just in time for Valentine's Day? I mean, come on. Slut Pop... Serbia? Slut Pop Apocalypse? Slut Pop: The Slut Undead? I honestly didn't expect she would ever make another SP given that the second pretty clearly started with outtakes for SP1, but the timing is too specific.

I want to try to guess what the album is going to be like based off of this but TBH having only the (excellent, feels like all the great scrapped FTB tracks) How Long track, the Candy-esque Cherry, and the above aesthetics it could kind of be anything?? It's lowkey giving Pinterest but in a cunt-serving way... Maybe a dark coquette thing? Like Candy's older sister, innocent but in these long scarves and khakis in the apocalyptic city... oh Kim I know you have an E.T. in you

And we know Dr Luke told Kesha to lose weight and claimed the reason she wasn't getting songs was that she was too fat. What a horrible energy for a young trans woman to be around. I hope she's okay and not interpreting her lack of success as a reflection on her looks, her talent, or her worth as a person.

Personally HAS A HEART I loved since the start. I find it the most authentic katy song i've heard in a while honestly, OK and I WOKE UP sound like they belong on something else entirely. This era has been a mess... but allegdly theres a 1437 on the way? Apprently a remix album? I think shes really trying to have a Charli moment here but I'm here for it, I hope it's the same case with the brat remix album where it became a much stronger project compared to it's sibling (for the record BRAT is the best pop album of 2024, the remix album is better imo bc it's more introspective) bc as much as 143 isn't terrible, its underwhelming

oooo the problematique videos are just BTS footage. Like blue jeans/carmen footage or behind the scenes on a magazine. I don’t think Kim ever sings in them and they were probably just made to promote the album (would’ve been so nice to see what was scheduled for promo  )
 
can’t do better lyric video was released but the directors cut shows a dead body under the bed which was scrapped from the og (so I kill my insecurities) 
 
Honesty there probably is a VHS style Brr video somewhere of her lipsyncing the words. Coconuts I’m 99% sure is what we got. There was no budget and I don’t think a video was filmed unfortunately

the there will be blood video was supposedly directed by Ellen Von unwerth or whatever, so I’d imagine that was ready to go too.

i wonder if the scrapped videos are all finalized videos or just something they started filming but got halted halfway or even just some ideas that never came to fruition, because scrapping finalized videos is just money going down the drain… i can understand when people like gaga or ariana allow themselves the luxury of doing that with completed products but kim is definitely not the same case

We need the directors cut of this video. She wears the same outfit her dancers are and it’s sooo much more flattering on her. 
 
That being said, I wonder how many videos she has have been scrapped. Allegedly she’s done a MV for TOTL V1 song (can’t remember which, I think it was the title track?) Coconuts probably got a real MV as well or at least a treatment. There was also rumours that the photoshoot Kim did for the original Alone promo (she’s at the school) was also on set for a music video but was scrapped when the Nicki feature was added. Add the Hillside Boys music video (never seen proof of this but her fans always mention it) and now the King of Hearts video…. Her career would’ve looked so different if not for label interference 

I am so obsessed with a Blackout. I can’t listen to anything else. I think I might go as Blackout era Britney for Halloween!!!

Kim revealed King Of Hearts MV was filmed and shelved on Twitter. From the scrapped songs, album rework & promo that got dropped…. FTB could’ve been such a good well rounded record if her label didn’t interfere. Hoping KP2 won’t be subjected to such tampering
