I'm really excited for this! I loved her debut mixtape but I wasn't the biggest fan of Troubled Paradise. If this era truly is a mix of both worlds, then I'll be more than happy with it.

Starfucker is also an iconic album title. I hope the album cover and visuals match it!

Blown away by the footage Ive been seeing of the Boiler Room set. The background visuals, the new song and plastic, Starfucker title all but basically confirmed.

Its really all coming together. When she said this album was going to be “a more elevated version of the mixtape” it becomes so clear with that boiler room set. Like its giving the same hypersexual aesthetics of her first album but a darker more elegant vibe than the neon pink mcbling of the original album. With songs like purr and plastic, erotic electronic, and this new song… mixed with the more ‘mainstream’ Out of Time and Miss Belladonna like yeah its all coming together.

She really somehow managed to balance her old music, and a new sound, nostalgic aesthetics, and modern ones. Like all in one. Its crazy!

I really just hope she is able to bring this type of visual she showed at Boiler Room more into the album visuals in a music video or something.

I read in another Slayyyter thread something so cool about the duality from pop star that might be happening on S3. They said that the concept must be about becoming a hollywood icon, starting innocent and trying to find some place to fit in (Out of Time) and then the glam happen thruout the album. The Idol who?

That's one huge mystery that I kinda wanna know about as well. During this break, she ended up dropping "and the Diamonds" and her writing also ended up being a lot more watered down and subdued. Even the tracks from Electra Heart, which was considered as her most commercial sell out album at the time, had sharper and more biting penmanship compared to even the most "introspective" songs of L+F.

I truly think something happened during her break that severely affected her writing prowess. ADIAML was better than L+F but it's still not on-par with her first three releases.

I really enjoyed the album as well! It's not cohesive and it also does not follow a specific theme despite the artwork and title indicating such, but the album is full of great songs and there's something there for everyone. For me, I made a playlist where I removed Sex Talk, Coconuts, and Unholy. I also replaced Alone with Alone 2.0 while also adding IJWAR (it's not that bad of a song!). I also rearranged the track list in a way that makes sense in my opinion.

I feel like people are way too harsh on the album because they knew what could have been with Problematique. The thing is that I think Problematique being scrapped was for the best since that album is fully produced by Dr. Luke plus the title of the album might put more critical eyes on her. While Feed the Beast is a tad generic, at least it's inoffensive and fun enough as a base for her to move forward. I just hope she pulls another moderate hit with King of Hearts so that her label puts less pressure on her for her second album.

I know that some of the diehard fans tend to feel some type of way about people who think Born To Die is Lana's best album, but screw it I still think it's her best work. It offered Lana's essence distilled in pop form. It was a revolutionary album that pushed the pop landscape in the early 2010s. It was also the album that's closest to my heart since I listened to it during the most tumultuous parts of my formative years.

I'm always gonna be a pop fan first and foremost, so Born To Die truly does something to me whenever I play that album. It's a no-skip album for me, and it's her best work imo.

Iirc SOPHIE reached out to her for a collab but Ayesha was in her full hermit mode back then so it didn't happen. The only thing that came out of that was I guess Ayesha allowed SOPHIE to use her vocals for a Ken Doll SOPHIE remix. Such a shame...

I feel like Ayesha is the queen of looking different in every photo so it's not a shock to me that she looks very different in that insta post

Am I the only one that really liked Feed The Beast?
Removed some songs from it (Thousand Pieces, Bait, Unholy, Coconuts) and changed a bit the tracklist and honestly it's a great debut imo!

So according to a twitter video I saw of her, King of Hearts is her next single. Hopefully they promote it well because the song has moderate hit potential.

I see a lot of people saying that her career is derailed because of how messy Feed the Beast is in terms of rollout and quality. I feel like a lot are overexaggerating like sure Kim isn't likely going to be the next Britney, but I think her career will be just fine after this era. I do think she's gonna have to face some sobering reality about her fame such as how she is not enough (as of now) to fill the venues in her tours.

I feel like her "debut" mainstream era is gonna be a growing pain kind of experience for her, and hopefully she doesn't lose hope because of it. She clearly is very driven and very talented so hopefully she's able to push through.

I don't like "Move" that much. I think Clarity is perfect just the way it is. Even "Meet the Parents" (aka the weakest Clarity track) is still a pretty chill track.
