Remember how happy she was when she heard Love on the radio? Remember how happy she was about that tweet predicting Love being in the Top 40 (or whatever it was)? Or when she heard Video Games in that shop?
 
Now imagine how happy she'll be to wake up to Lust For Life in the Top 10... Top 5... Maybe even getting a number 1... I honestly get a tear in my eye thinking about it tbh, Lana worked her damn ass off her entire life to make music and I hope she sees how well LFL is doing and knows how much we appreciate and love her! She deserves this success so much!

I would understand being upset at Lana if she went full Katy Perry or Britney Spears and released an effortless, hypercommercial song. But Lust For Life achieved both being pop and being sonically and artistically good. So those fans complaining need to chill.
 
Also, they're not really familiar with her earlier body of work if they think that Lust For Life is something she wouldn't have released before, since it could easily have fitted on Born To Die. And some of her unreleased songs are poppy like that.
 
I have a feeling that Lust For Life (the album) is going to be a good combination of Born To Die, AKA, and Ultraviolence. So we'll probably see a diverse range of upset people.

Someone literally commented on her Facebook post asking her not to sell out to that "ghetto" shit and I just have to wonder... what's so ghetto about the song or the lyrics? Why is this "fan" afraid she'll turn ghetto after collabing with Abel? It's interesting. Also, has this "fan" HEARD her old music?? She literally has a song called Ghetto Baby.

I'm usually one of the members on this board who resists a radio bop for a bop's sake, but I just love this song so much. The production has a lot of character. The lyrics are very sweet and endearing and uplifting. And maybe it's not completely lyrically coherent, but neither was stargirl interlude. It's just a little snapshot love ode. Idk, it makes me feel good.

The little video on the official audio surprised the fuck out of me, tbh, I feel like it was more complex/put together than some of her actual videos. I am still 100 % convinced that some ppl who comment on FB and YT do not like Abel in a song with Lana for the same reason they didn't like Rocky in the NA video. Back then, they were just more obvious about it. Just sayin.
