its the aesthetic of the titles, the imagery. why do you think BTD and paradise had titles like Blue Jeans, Video Games, Diet Mt Dew, National Anthem, American, ect. cause its part of the theme. or why UV has titles like Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, West Coast, Guns and Roses, ect. It gives us more of the art lana is trying to convey, it guves us insight and they just sound really cool

I'm so intrigued by how this will be received critically. The singles have all been acclaimed thus far, but there are always the same publications that review her persona rather than the music.
 
I'm also not sure I agree that this is a throwback to BTD. The "trap" songs seem like they're actually going chillwave rather than the trip hop with strings of BTD. The jazzier songs are even slower than UV songs as well. I love that she continues to change up her sound with each LP.

Reality check for you: Lana won't ever release an album that is as pop as BTD. If you struggle with her new directions she is taking, it's time to check out, since these are the artistic choices she makes, not by accident or that she doesn't know any better, but on purpose
 
Also, sales and charts alone don't define a great record, what a dumb post. I love BTD as the pop album that it is, but for me personally I find her recent material since UV way more interesting to follow. You disagree? Fine, I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the stupidy of trying to make an effort to put your opinion above others.
 
Lana has moved on since BTD and former fans have moved on, too. Just look ar all the people from the past who ain't posting anymore. Others have joined. That's life and that's music business.

I am so in love with this song! It's so breathtakingly beautiful!
When I close my eyes and listen to it I keep seeing jellyfish floating in a moonlit sea, it's such a tranquil experience!
And yes, the Major Tom part is SO good! I love how achingly longing she is when she sings those lines!
This song is my favourite from Honeymoon so far!
 
I can see why some people don't like it, I mean everyone has different tastes! But I'm looking forward to the variety of songs, from HBTB kinda songs to TLY kinda songs, I'm just really excited for the album!!

Lana is gettin too old and mature for the online fans she has. If you look somewhere else, most of them now post about Melanie Martinez and Halsey who couldn't be more clones of the BTD sound as they are now. And they target the young demographic.
 
I won't comment on the Record of the year thing since we have only heard 4 songs which are all great though

Honeymoon sounds like it's gonna be the album of the year.
First time she's doing 14 tracks.
First time she's doing an interlude.
First time she's having a hotline (meaning she's so proud of this album and she's promoting it that way).
First time she has a Instagram of her album (Again, she's proud of it).
First time she gives us a LP after a short period (15 months- Means she's full of inspirations).
 
She has a variety of different tracks on the same album and that's great.
The album receives by far great reviews.
I can see it becoming my top favorite album of her.

I'm not sure if anyone else has talked about this so I'm sorry if someone else has and I just didn't see, but I'm really enjoying all the references to unreleased material.

It sounds very Ultraviolence Era-esque to me, which is fine by me. I adore it, that's all I can say. Made me tear up a little, tbh. 

It's the very first time Lana overwhelms me since Paradise... This song is just plain beautiful.

Definitely. It's a bit stupid to say, but it sounds so Lana to me, it really have her signature, from all the albums and the unreleased. It would be a good song to show to someone who wants to her who she is to me, even though it's not (yet?) as iconic as BTD or VG or WC. I don't think it would sound as good sang by anyone but her, I don't know how she manages to have a thousand styles and always sound like... herself basically, I don't throw the word "genius" loosely but coming from an aspiring artist this is an extremely precious and respect-inducing quality to have. Also I just wanted to say that the "I'll never buy unto your bullshit" had me breathless lying on the floor. I can't believe how bless we are with this and Wayamaya she lifted me from depression by killing me omg

I haven't cried like this in ten years it's so much better than what I could have imagined, life anthem, I will never unstan I don't know why I never trust her 100% because she saves my worthless life all the time. I'm extremely emotional idgaf this song is everything and it's so fresh I love her more than anything
