I’m not gonna lie some of the songs sound like they come straight off a rupaul album

I feel like the lyrics are horrible but something about the impact and strength she gives off in the vocals does it for me

I feel like if the movie would’ve been more successful we might’ve had a chance at this seeing the light of day but it’s been SO long now.... :-(

chromatica sounds like a drag queen album... I don't think I'm enjoying it for now

Finished listening to the album. I think it accomplished exactly what it set out to do, I think it's a real tribute to all of its references. I think the whole europop vibe is too much for me to handle in one dose as it is all very saccharine for my taste but I don't think it is bad because of it, I just can't imagine listening to much of this again, especially outside of the context of the album. I honestly think it's quite impressive but it's just not to my taste. I like the club classics and dance staples from the 90s and they are mostly just singles from random one hit wonders so Chromatica is the first time I've listened to an entire album by one artist like that and it is very cohesive.
Alice is the total standout, the only track I could listen to on its own and on repeat, it is so good. Sour Candy would be really good without blackpink, I wish she sang the hook. The spoken word part on Sour Candy is a highlight of the album imo. Plastic Doll chorus is a pretty guilty pleasure though the verse lyrics are definitely too hyper-pop for me. The outro to Sine From Above is more to more liking, it would have been really interesting had she dipped into some drum and bass or even UK garage.
Pretty sure I'll like 1000 Doves piano version when it's out.

FUCK HER for putting the SOPHIE prod song on the deluxe, it shits all over the entirety of this dry, bland album .

I just REALLY wanna know what the pre chorus sounds like. I imagine it sounds like the twinkling of stars with violins

The only reason why I’d say I hold LA to the Moon to my heart more than those shows is cause I scored a front dead center spot right beside the steps and she came down to me first at the end of the show... I gave her a piece of paper that had the tweet of my phone number she favorited and never called from the “call you manana” tweets after the LFL preorders lmao... I wrote “tomorrow never came” with it and a smiley face and she laughed and signed my UV UO vinyl personally with my name right over the knee.... honestly a priceless moment ill never forget till I die :’)
Also I caught the set of (fake) pearls she threw off the stage during WTWWAWWKD and they’ve been sitting beautifully in my ultraviolence box set ever since

Those were honestly the best shows of my life... I was blessed enough to see the bristow, charlotte, and atlanta shows all three in a row in a span of 4 days or so... a fucking JOURNEY it was

Endless Summer Tour will always be her strongest live performances imo... I mean serial killer, you can be the boss, us against the world, the cover of why don’t you do right, introducing Chelsea hotel no 2 into the set list.. I feel like that was the last era that felt fresh with the style and overall design of a themed show and it feels like ever since it’s just been “greatest hits” shows with only a few new tracks sprinkled in time to time

Replay, 911 and Babylon are cute. But the album has nothing on the exciting strucutures of ARTPOP, BTW and TF(M). A lot of the song structures are predictable, the production is really repetitivr, there is no "wow"-effect and Gaga is yelling too much.
