she used to be the closest artist to my heart but i could barely connect to anything she did after lean on:( i kind of enjoyed the when i was young ep but the album turned out to be completely different. i'm excited for her new music nevertheless.

I hope she goes back closer to her original sound, her music had more depth and lyrics and then after lean on things were watered down far too much to appeal to a bigger audience.

I don't think people care about her enough to dislike her tho. All I've seen is her own fanbase criticizing her, which I think is even worse imo.

TBH I just can’t wait to get out after Covid is over and can’t wait to party to her songs with other fans. Her biggest gift is probably building a community that can always connect through her music.

    ANYWAYS.

Victim blaming is disgusting. The amount of time someone needs to heal, confront, or even speak about their trauma is not something we have a say in.

i wonder if she ever finished writing lyrics to white dress and more importantly i wonder what she said at the part where she mumbles what sounds like "im aboutta beat yo ass"

tbf i hope they do a tribute release for her. whether it's full of unreleased stuff for fans or just her sophomore, they'll do something i'm sure.

I really hope that her label will release her sophomore album the way she wanted to...I know that it would seem as a cash grab for the label, but for us and for the rest of the world that would be like the last gift or mark Sophie wanted to give us, keeping her alive through her music

I mostly agree with your posts, Chromatica is not a good album. I only selected 911, Alice, Replay, 1000 doves (piano) and that's it. It's a first for a Pop album of her. Even Joanne had her charm (although he disappointed me). She is no longer motivated to be this chaotic and sulphurous popstar, and it shows. I don't think I will ever get into this album, the songs are bland, tasteless, generic and uninteresting. Everything seems forced here.

Rain on me is horrible song (kill me), and Ariana spoils everything. She deserves to collaborate with more interesting artists. They don't go together at all. And then the duration, too many short and forgettable songs; calibrated for streaming ultimately. As soon as I saw the clip for Stupid Love I thought it was a parody because it was so ugly, the clip awful, the choreography cheap and its ridiculous costumes. I salute the effort but I don't really know what shit about this era, I know she's sick but an acoustic piano album of her old songs would have been 1000 times more interesting than Chromatica which a big oven if she didn't couldn't handle all the work behind it. Everything is messed up and this canceled promotion is annoying, it should be justified once and for all.

she's so ahead of her time she will probably be the first person to transfer musical signals from the afterlife to our dimension, her mind, i love her sm

She really deserved so much better, her influence and talent went so unappreciated. XCX World never got to see the light of day and her work with Gaga got scrapped because people weren’t ready to embrace her artistry, it’s sickening.

i dont even know what to do with myself. so much of the music i listen to, especially during hard times, is either sophies music, produced by sophie or directly influenced by sophie.  i cant bring myself to listen to any of it.

In my mind the moon itself came to collect her and now Sophie is living as an entity in space, living her best life and floating through the cosmos

I just can't stop thinking WHY her? Why Sophie? Out of all the awful people walking on this earth why did we have to lose Sophie? Life makes no sense at all, it's so unfair. She is a legend and I can't express how important she was for what she represented in pop music. I just hope she's in a beautiful place right now, she deserves it.

    Omg I think this too.
She has always been casted out in a way or another. XCX World being scrapped for the lack of trust in her sound, Nothing is Promised and the Rihanna tracks too, her production on Bitch I'm Madonna and 1,2,3 Days Up being  overshadowed by other safer producers, and lastly, all her work on Chromatica (that would've been her trampoline to mainstream) completely trashed in favor of Bloodpop basicness.

Now it's too late, even if a postume project ever comes out

Since she died in Athens, her death literally sounds like a myth of a girl trying to reach and talk to the moon. I hope she did see what she wanted. Sophie was indeed a goddess. Love her always and forever

How can people believe in God after this? There are murderers, pedophiles and terrorists on the streets with impunity, but it was Sophie who died? The purest person who changed the lives of many people and the world of music forever. Her music helped to survive the difficult moments of my life. Every time it rains outside, I'll think of her. She will live with us because of the art she has given to the world. It's all so unfair.
