help this just reminded me how my high school french teacher who i also had for study hall let me call my grandpa during class so i could buy the 7” boxset cause i needed his credit card info and was really desperate cause i already missed the signed ones (wishing her the best in life ) but like honestly?? in terms of her physical releases froot was really nice. aside from the 7” boxset, we got the white vinyl, standard black, and all those cassettes along w ALL the clothes and accessories?? whew!!

if she sung anything more “political” i would hope it’s something she connects to herself in the same vein as girls, sex yeah!, or can’t pin me down in the sense that i feel she’s a better writer when it comes to self reflection and her own personal experiences to something political/societal than when she’s trying to make a broader statement on a subject with some current world topics thrown in

the priscilla/sofia coppola fans who eagerly awaited and deluded themselves to see if lana would be part of the soundtrack only to find out she was asked but didn’t have time probably due to releasing an album, touring, and her preference of chilling with nikki lane in some random yeehaw state in a pair of cowboy boots only for a couple months after the films release to see miss lana deciding to cover an elvis song for some memoir of his right now: anyway.. super excited to see what song she covers!! and still waiting for that covers album…

flipside and is this happiness get their own exclusive vinyl one day (my womanly intuition says so!) though they should have pressed them all on the same vinyl for an EP..like a 10 inch record or something anyway the best thing about this is them using more of Neil’s UV photoshoot… a win!

I mean when it comes down to it she has no obligation to post about it (***though i also feel odd saying that since we’re also talking about a war and genocide that she took a stance on in a very broad letter on the subject focusing on a specific situation/result from that but i digress) and based on previous… situations… it’s probably better she avoids it since her responses tend to make things worse

you’re correct as far as ive seen! but the point just comes down to at least knowing what you’re signing or supporting in regards to war and the loss of peoples lives??? i mean we don’t know lana herself, what she knows/thinks or anything. im sure most of lanaboards doesn’t unless it’s lana herself lurking around. however her and other celebrities signing an incredibly broad letter thats also thanking joe biden on such a topic.. is… certainly something. i understand the idea that some people saw “hostages” and that specific part of the entire situation and was like “wow that’s terrible!! people shouldn’t be held hostage!!” and signed away. but we don’t. which is why signing these letters is goofy as hell in the first place. either way if someone has a shitty take on something (which yes you can argue it’s “just a different opinion”) can be called out for it and ESPECIALLY if they have a platform. otherwise if they didnt have a platform they wouldn’t be having specifically people in hollywood signing this at all without the idea that their influence on culture or whatever would have an impact on a decision.

I think it’s more so to do with lana (and other celebs) expressing their opinions and views on it without being actually educated on the topic which can influence their audiences opinions on it as well. not necessarily their fault that people who follow them are inclined to not do their own research or take the words of a famous person on world issues and be influenced by them.. but like when you have a platform and you choose to connect yourself to a serious topic publicly you should at least know what’s going on

while i do agree with you that celebs shouldn’t have to use their platform to support an issue.. esp one of which they aren’t really educated on.. but like the reason she was looked at as “racist” was due to really poor timing and her poor wording + following responses on QTFC when Floyd’s death happened QFTC was released just a few days prior if my memory serves me right (along with Lana continuing to name celebs that are POC as her example/comparison to herself with that being the main issue of the entire thing combined with well… basically how WOC/and just POC have been viewed through history especially in the context of lana being the “delicate” one in comparison to them and ariana who people also seem to think is a poc instead of recognizing the issue that directly naming people is a lot more personal and comes off as an attack than generalizing with something like “the current women that are charting sing this and that but when i do it from my perspective and in my own way..etc”) and to add onto that she was posting about donating for hollywood forever cemetery or something at the same time which I mean.. is very okay!! she should posts whatever she wants and obviously she has a connection to the place but with everything else going on at a time there’s a reason that shit looked really bad to people which was a mix of really god awful timing and just qftc being qftc. .. and while the whole SJW thing can be incredibly fucking ridiculous and there should be an understanding that celebs shouldnt be your resource for current issues the point is she can still be pretty ignorant at times *anyway all around a bunch of bafoonery from many celebs and while im sure lana means very well i have many doubts she actually knows much of what she signed or the actual situation..

ok that’s understandable considering she also has a poem named bare feet on linoleum as well and just mentions them in multiple other songs?? lolita comes to mind (though I can appreciate its usage there since it fits the song) and BB off the top of my head..it’s certainly an interesting choice to have as a signature touch to her lyrics similar to “red dress” and “blue” but it does feel personal to her in some sense at least.. though i understand the distaste people would have especially if youre uncomfortable with feet.. like out of context “chickens running bare feet there’s a baby on the way” is so random and makes it sound like lana is insinuating chickens normally have a pair of kicks they wear to run around in
