i think also to consider with peoples reactions when this happened was this was posted around george floyds death (if my memory serves me right a few days before his death) so there was already tension in regards to race at the time which definitely made it worse imo. that and lana continuing to bring in other artists names like fka twigs after the whole thing blew up when her directly naming other female artists that were on the billboard chart at the time that just happened to be mostly WOC is what caused the issue..and not really acknowledging the name aspect and mostly focused on her being called racist (which i don’t blame her for wanting to defend herself either). anyway the whole thing was just goofy and messy. and idk the way people say she only brought up POC artists when ariana is there never fails to make me chuckle cuz.. its so exaggerated and i can’t tell if they just want something to be extra angry about or if they were a little confused on whether or not ariana was a POC cause of her deep love for tanning at the time.

they’ve pretty much exploited her since she was 9?? i believe… and the whole thing is just..odd. especially considering her father refused to make any comment on her death which is incredibly weird because… why would you NOT want to confirm that she was in fact NOT dead unless it being unknown/or the possibility of her death would gain traction for them…. and im not going to even going to get into some of the people clout chasing like that one dude who said he knew they got into a vehicle collision… fucking weird and gross

she’s so fucking diverse not only does she sun bathe not only does she moon bathe but she can storm watch too. what a woman. her range is amazing. just tuning in with mother nature and the universe… some artists just can’t relate and lack that connection. that’s why she’s a genius. and as always she looks beautiful doing so. even after a decade of being a stan she never fails to end up astounding me.

im really sick of people who call themselves lana fans but then go in her comment section and insist BTD + it’s unreleased is her best work and that’s the sound/lyrical content she “NEEDS” to do in her work for it to be good again because she’s fallen off since that era and that’s what her fans would want. ive seen a few of these people a lot more recently for some reason and they all have the same essence of entitlement and fixation that their taste is what everyone needs.. especially lana like just say you’re a fan of the born to die era and move on girl

her look was AMAZING (very reminiscent of the paradise and endless summer tour which were her best tour looks and i will stand on my last limb arguing for that) as were her vocals… incredible, beautiful, genius, talented, and amazing woman as we all know. and seeing those pics of her with the heart shaped sunglasses made me melt i hope everyone had a wonderful and great time and got back safely me venting cuz I need to let it out

black lagoon is definitely one of those anime’s where the dub is better. especially given how multicultural it is, so it feels more authentic for the characters in that aspect. some of my fav scenes that live rent free in my head for example that just don’t hit the same as the sub skdksks:
