Even if this is something small, I absolutely love that you took the time to do it! It's kind of surreal to see the page as it would've looked if it were still live.

As for the debatable pictures/words, I feel as if the hyperlink is either one of the two phrases you mentioned, or, "Good Man", as used in "Gramma", although it was written much later. It also likely has no bearing (don't know if Lana's ever professed to being a fan), but I knew "God & Man" reminded me of a song-- the phrase appears pretty heavily through David Bowie's "Modern Love". I figure that nothing is too much of a stretch with Lana, lol.

On the subject of "Modern Love" and Lana, allow me to go on a tangent for a sec-- I noticed this lyric in the song: "I catch a paper boy... I'm standing in the wind" which immediately brought to mind "Fordham Road": "I catch a dollar in the wind"-- which was ostensibly written around the time of lizzigrant.com.... really, really tangential but worth throwing out there, I guess, lmao

Concerning the other photo, I can't tell if it's "To" or "The", and I'm unsure if it's a "C" or "O" that begins that next word. I'm extremely puzzled on that one.

Anyway, great job! I appreciate this project a lot .

I did something small for fun and brought the best website on the internet back to life

    https://lanavault.tumblr.com/lizzigrant

I made all of the elements as true to the original as possible.

    (Lizzigrant.com as seen September 2005)

I know this isn't a new discovery, I just wanted to bring it to life and start  a discussion on it.

One thing that I can't be sure of is what exactly the image and link at the bottom are. I'm guessing by listing A Course In Miracles, Lana was just putting her favourite things / current interests on this page, and considering the image below is a square, it's likely it's an album or another book.

To me, it looks like the hyperlink below it says "God & Man" or "Good Mom" lol

The picture itself looks like a menu or bill on a restuarnt table and says "To C____y" at the top??

I'd love to know what you guys make of it.

    Hey kids
I've been drawing Lana for years now and I've shared some of my drawings as status updates here but I've decided to start a topic where I'll be posting them for you to see. Any comments would be appreciated.
So here's the newest one, inspired by the LOVE music video and the song itself:

ohh i get what you are saying but like the lyrics are good for like the typical reggeaton sounding song, so yeah maybe it will grow on you. i want her to serve more of a por vida/drunken babble teas, and we have heard 2 songs out of the album so im still on her side
  8. naachoboy liked a post in a topic by sparklrtrailrheaven in Kali Uchis
i don't think so, like... there's a lot of foreign-language songs i dig, and i can even understand a bit of this

idk it sounds so hipster and elitist of me but i think the fact that it sounds so radio-friendly and mainstream bothers me-- like Drunken Babble and Por Vida both have really their quirks about them and they're so distinctive, and i think this song worries me that her music is going to end up losing its unique edge.... it bothers me that this is not a song that would not catch my attention if it were by anyone else

but slay a lot if y'all are bopping to it!! it may grow on me, and either way, imma keep supporting sis Kali

I'm a little bit underwhelmed/not in love with this track???

It's not bad, but not really hitting me, either.......... but, then again, I didn't love all the LFL singles when they came out, so

OMG what if she brings out Stevie for the tour? I remember her saying Stevie invited her to be her opening act but she didn't want to do a 60-tour show.. I bet top dollar she'll bring her along. Imagine legends Lana Del Rey and stevie nicks performing together.. WHEW

I'd never thought about it this way, but I guess that a substantial part of festival audiences are not there chiefly for Lana-- so, there's probably this good portion who are just casual fans and want to hear material they're familiar with. Thus, it's probably smart (if not the most pleasing for all the hardcore stans) for her festival setlists to be based primarily around hits and an album that's arguably her most well-known with the general public (BTD), with a couple deeper cuts sprinkled in for any major fans in attendance.  As @MrLunknown also said, it will be a total mess if she plays setlists like this on a LFL tour-- but, I daresay her festival approach is pretty wise: cater to the masses of casual fans, give a little bit for the minorities of the hardcore fans, and provide a mix of tracks that may draw unfamiliar listeners deeper into her catalog.

I already posted it galore but I bought some soft boxes, took good pics and thought I could present it to you in a more official way!

EAST SIDE - LIZZIE GRANT EARLY SONGS CONCEPT

This simple concept design regroups four songs that are supposed or known to date from before 2007: Fordham Road, Methamphetamines, Money Hunny and Your Band Is All The Rage, in a tribute to New York. It uses only two colours: soft black (C30M30Y30K100), and yellow (C0M0Y100K0). The fonts are Alegreya by Juan Pablo del Peral (Google font), Deutsh Gotisch by Dieter Steffmann (available for free commercially), and Helvetica Neue by D. Stempel AG. The images are in duotone and halftone and represent my vision of the concept: these four songs have a very strong New York feel to me, and images of the bay, Coney Island and big empty avenues come to my mind when I listen to them. The statue is the one in Fordham University. I wanted to visually represent the lowfi grunginess you can find in the Lizzie songs and the videos, all while keeping the general feel very crisp and elegant. The gothic font has the purpose of linking even more to the New York history. Using these polaroids by Chuck as the cover and insert seemed a perfect fit, especially since they are two of my favourite Lana photos of all time. It is also a rework of my very first thing I've done on Photoshop, which was this concept, but really ugly  And last thing I much prefer Lizzie to Lizzy so don't @ me!

If you want to download this project for free to print it yourself, you can do it here.
And if you want to make me really happy, please give me a view on Behance!

She probably doesn't know what has or hasn't leaked-- watch her give us some unleaked and have no idea

Or, watch her not have copies of her own songs and use a masterpost to download them

Also, I'm BEGGING for a detailed booklet/liner notes with this

God Bless America was also an early title for AKA, as evidenced by an article in a Lake Placid paper. I'll find the link later
