Do we think the Britney sample may be a reason she isn’t releasing this? Def sounds like it wasn’t “necessary” but maybe she’s just really attached to it and doesn’t think it’s worth it without it there

SAME, quite literally the sound I’ve been craving from Lana since she debuted. This and a Mazzy Star type of sound would make me MELT. Hopefully she leans into those buttery reverb drenched vocals and steel slide guitar 

Lasso is WAY too on the nose for this album to not have at least some additional layer of sonic identity and irony. I trust her vision. Maybe it’s her almost satirizing country but still using it as a vessel to do sincere story telling?
