    let's recap... it's not...

    - rock, or specifically, alt rock/grunge
    - hip-hop/trap
    - about qftc/critics
    - dealer
    - produced by mike dean

i feel like the possibility of it being nfr/cotcc 2.0 is also unlikely, because if it's not produced by jack, it won't be the exact same thing, but there's still a chance it could be acoustic/mellow, even if it's produced by somebody else, i honestly don't know what it could possibily be, maybe it really is another genre, such as jazz, or even disco or metal, but judging from the blue banisters snippet, i don't think that's likely, but you never know for sure, maybe it'll be very mainstream pop-influenced? i honestly hope not  but maybe it'll be like high by the beach or 13 beaches, which i wouldn't have a problem with

It’s very much known that the album will be hyperpop/pc music. She even hinted that on Tulsa Jesus Freak w/ the autotune.
Rock Candy Sweet is probably a feature w/ Charli XCX. We won

You can hate on Dua as much as you want, but it’s a FACT, that she’s been delivering all the bops you’re craving from Lana. If you sleep on her, it’s says a lot about your taste actually

ok bit of a random theory but I was rewatching the blue bannisters snippet and I know some people were speculating it was filmed for something else since she isn’t lip syncing the song at all and I’m getting major wild at heart vibes.
I feel like the imagery matches that song perfectly, especially with her and clay being all cute - also the J reminded me of the line “you’re killing me joe”
+ the idea of wild at heart being a single choice/mv contender would make sense given all the merch for that song

YES! My feeling exactly! I always seem to go back to those songs, especially in the summer.

Since we are debating over sales, I have to say I’ve always thought that Lana was a “silent shark”, killing it with numbers step by step, and that’s still so true to me. Constancy and affection are two key points of her magic... people still stream the majority of her songs every day, and she is very strong on merch too (why it costs so much though?? We have always been complaining about that and still here we are buying from LDR Village ).
As someone else already said, she has a legend status and man you can tell how precious that is today.
Also, sometimes I feel like people forget what type of music Lana does... she’s not your average pop singer, it’s not easy to sell most of what she does. Her last two projects are the living proof of that: Violet is a POETRY book... who reads poems today anymore? And COCC itself is a super moody album with no really “pop bop”... but still, she smashes it. It’s really extraordinary! I mean, if you think about it... it’s not just me being a stan, if you look at her numbers it’s a matter of fact at this point!

ANYWAYS, I don’t think we already got the official cover. I think it is on the way... we just keep waiting. Don’t lose your hope, a terrific album cover is coming this time around along with 43 different vinyl variants.

I was surprised about that too haha, but honestly I think NFR was the one that brought younger generations in, who then probably went back and listened to Born To Die (hence why it still sells so much even a decade later!)

Also I'm 23 and I'm Gen Z, I was like 13-14 when Born to Die came out, so it is really interesting that its been a decade and Lana is still attracting that same age range and obviously keeping her fans who have grown up with her music haha

So I don't think it is a generational thing, I think it really just depends on your tastes in music and stuff
