My mom was the first person I told about me having 14 and I told her how rare it was, she was so excited 'cause she knows how much I love Charli. She actually really likes her a lot too! Anyways when I told her last night that it leaked, she was so disappointed lol. I told her that I was pretty sure it was one of us who bought it and she was just like "Man, all of you guys suck!"

I edited the artwork for 14 a bit and made it look more digitally official; less like it was scanned from the physical copy.
I actually kinda like it edited like this, it's still a laughably bad cover but the colors go really well together in my opinion.

Not gonna lie, I can't stand when she does the "One for the moneyyy OOOOOHOOOOOOOHHHHHH TWOOOO FOR THE SHOOOOWWWWW". I know some of you like it, I'm sorry but.. I just don't.

What are you talking about? Those two songs are the golden turning point of the century for music, they are sheer masterpieces which can never be topped, they are a beautiful pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, they are a grandmother's hug and a warm plate of cookies on Saturday morning...

Tried to resist getting into this thread, but finally gave in. Here are some things that bug me about Lana.
 
1. Her lack of effort in preparing for live performances. In particular not using backing singers (given that all the songs in BTD have layering and loop back vocals), and inconsistent use of ear monitors.
2. Her using the exactly the same list of songs in exactly the same order for all of her concerts was really irritating (I attended two of the NY shows and felt like I was watching exactly the same show). Just changing the order of songs (and preferably cycling in one new song) would have introduced some spontaneity and made the shows more exciting.
3. I find her reluctance to do encores irritating, and really do not understand her philosophical resistance to it.
4. I really do not like her smoking. We know that smoking can destroy your voice and as a singer that is really stupid.
5. I think she has taken the mystery aspect of her background a bit too far, particularly as it leads her to trip up on facts e.g. her birthdate.
6. Not being sufficiently thoughtful and speaking in similar clichés in multiple interviews.
 
On the other hand I have no problem with her appearance and I think she looks her age (saw her up close at the concert). I think constant dyeing may not be good for her hair but I don’t know much about such things. I also don’t think she had surgery on her face, and the reason her face looks different now is that she has lost significant amounts of weight (maybe when she was on the maple syrup/coffee diet in London), and the reason her lips look plumper is that she uses cayenne pepper. I am amazed at the number of songs she has written, and find the lyrics intriguing and interesting. Most amazingly, I have not been so smitten with an entertainer before, and I find her endlessly fascinating.

Agreed -- I've yet to find a live version of "Blue Jeans" whose line "make my eyes burn" doesn't make me cringe. (The studio version is so perfect, though!)

Interesting--I've heard things about Lana's age not being quite exact, but never that she physically looks to be in her 30s. I don't see it.
 
 
I'll keep the opinions going: Her deep voice is forced as hell, she should drop it. I want to hear "Blue Jeans" sung in her natural AKA voice, so she doesn't sound like she's barking in concert.

She will never write another song as good as "Get Drunk" or "Disco" as long as she's focused on being this deep-voiced, overproduced retro queen with purty lyrical phrasing

No, it is unfortunately not the jazz movie snippet that we are all craving, but a companion album for The Great Gatsby entitled, "The Great Gatsby - The Jazz Recordings (A Selection of Yellow Cocktail Music from Baz Luhrmann's Film the Great Gatsby)" has been released on iTunes, and it's opening track is "Young and Beautiful (Salon). I am not even aware if this was played in the movie or not, because it does not sound like the jazz version from the Gatsby party sequence.

Nope, I better update that in the OP.

Also in TIWMUG, it says "high heels in her hand". I always thought it said "flyers in her hand" and had this image of a drunk girl passing out flyers for something on the side of the road while Lana just leans against a chain link fence and smokes a cigarette..
It's a beautiful image, I tell you. It really is.   

Just people harassing Aaron LaCrate on Twitter, and said people drawing criticism from fellow members here, and the criticism from said fellow members is criticized from other members for being too dramatic and not warranted given the hypocrisy and holier-than-thou attitudes, and lastly evil's expert meta-analysis, or rather, criticism of the criticism of the criticism.
