i don't understand how people are listening to breaking up slowly and thinking nikki lane's voice is lana's, her voice is drastically different :icant:

''Many of the songs on Chemtrails are about leaving L.A. and starting over in the suburbia of flyover-country, a reaction to Del Rey feeling burdened by the weight of fame. I know this because she literally says she’s “burdened by the weight of fame” in the song “Dance Till We Die.” As always, LDR is telling us exactly what’s on her mind. Maybe it’s time to take those words at face value.''

i like your ultra-violent swing :grinds:

this album had a lot of potential but it ended up being underwhelming after the first 5 tracks, i mean, they're not bad bad songs but honestly? i'm tired of hearing the old same sad song formula. it's not even about the fact that they're slow or quiet,, they just feel like a bunch of demos waiting to be produced. we know lana is capable of so much more, so why is she releasing the same song over and over? ugh.

come to my house let's die together, friendships that would last forever

i guess.....i understand people thinking that this album is “boring” or “stuff we have seen before” but i just have to disagree. she’s going back to her roots and it’s an album for the fans

I would not go that far, but I also feel like the second part of it could have used some more diversity in sound. Everything from NAWWAL on is a bit stale

Just do it. Just do it - don't wait!

i also feel like the criticism for this album is happening really quickly! NFR was also a grower and it has some of her best bodies of work. i think cocc is going to grow on a lot of people who don’t love it right away

and?... the album could've been a little bit more intriguing while still being a throwback to her roots and an album for the fans.

yes, that's what i'm talking about. the album is obviously not bad, just nothing new or too much exciting. could've been better. i still enjoy the first tracks a lot though
