Let’s just agree the only problem with Lana’s current formula is the drum mixing, or LACK there of. No point in including them in a song if they sound like they’re playing in a totally different room than the song @ jack . Name a song in the last 3 years that has drums louder than Mariners/Greatest....

As someone who road trips a lot during white hot summers, this album really came thru for me  i love it. Except the album cover  can someone point me in the direction of finding some amazing fan made covers?

Anybody absolutely LOVE all the little references to other songs littered thru the whole album??? The making out in the parking lot, and Take them for all they got lyrics in Dark But Just A Game were the first ones that I was like WAYMENT...

Just watched the reaction to the album of Steven In Stereo and it made me think that maybe Lana is really considering ending her career.  The lyrics related to being tired of fame and longing for simple life are so common across the whole record (White Dress, Chemtrails, LMLYLAW, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Wild at Heart, Dark But Just A Game, Dance Till We Die, For Free)... Plus her recent instagram post with "thank you for everything", "until we meet again", "I will be out there somewhere"... And all the drama with Question for the culture, BBC interview, the cover of the album... It kinda makes sense all together. 

 

Maybe she just needs a break.

I listened to Yosemite sitting on my bed while looking at a photo of my ex (not so ex) boyfriend on my phone. I took it last October, after we met for the first time. On that pic, he was sitting in front of me on the bed, with my plants, a few decorative items and my PJs on the dresser behind the bed. I was listening to the song in the exact same position I was when I took the pic, and the lyrics about nothing changing really hit me so much. It’s true, I still have the same plants, though they’ve grown up, the same decorative items, and I still put my PJs on the dresser. The only thing missing was my boyfriend, and our love was the only thing that didn’t quite withstand the time, changes and seasons. It was a beautifully painful experience which only made me love the song even more. It really means a lot to me, because I know that although our relationship didn’t work out, I did the things I did for the right reasons.
