The thing with BB is that the songs individually are amazing. I love listening to WFWF, BBS, Thunder, etc as standalone songs. As an album it just doesn’t click for some reason. Idk why.

This! I feel exactly the same way. When I listen to music, I like to listen to albums as a whole and BB just doesn’t do it for me in that way. All the songs themselves are beautiful though.

That is exactly what it is, when I remember songs like Dealer, IYLDWM, WFWF, BBS, Thunder, and all the UV outtakes I think wow it is incredible but like together as an album/concept it is definitely weak

Violets for roses is my lowest ranking song, it’s an indefinite skip for me 

 

the rest of the songs on BB I really like, just as stand alone and not together

 

it blows my mind that nectar was ever the lowest streamed as it’s my favourite song on the record and one of my top songs overall.. it’s one of the beautifully simple songs that just works

i like text book's verses and pre-chorus but not the chorus

the reason they work as “stand-alone songs” for yall is that half of them are leaks we listened to for years as individual songs and a 25% were released as singles before the album, leaving the last 25% to be completely fresh 

 

me personally, i love this album a lot because of how calm and relaxing it is and works perfectly in the fall time. yeah it’s not the best album but i think it’s better to think about it as a compilation record. (although i do wish she searched for the original masters of notg/cb/ll rather than youtube rips)
