About who owns the song, I think they both own it. I mean, we all have this 2 songs on our computers so it's a good thing the producer can take what's his in this situation. Both tracks leaked years ago, he just take control of his work and it's ok

it's literally confirmed that he owns it SOLELY even if she has writing credits - it's not speculation it's straight up confirmed

 

also is it his right to do that if lana isn't benefitting from it? it's not like a neros feat. lana del rey song (like boom like that) - it's a lana del rey song that he's taking credit for

We don’t know that he did that. It’s possible she asked him to remove her name from the title. She is credited as a composer

Lana is not credited in the "Sweet Serial Killer", the similar song featuring someone else that he released 2 years ago. It contains a lot less lyrics so my guess is that it"s the original unfinished demo. He probably reworked the song with Lana to have more lyrics after that. 

The guitar and the vocals are very low quality so maybe the version he has up is a rework of the original demo he did before Lana. He might have released it before he could get back the rights to release the full Lana Version were she has credits.

I think that was just a sneaky way of uploading the song back in 2020. I don't think anyone could write that song besides Lana (I mean the lyrics are as Lana as it gets ) and it doesn't seem like her to pick an already written song and just add a couple of lines to get the credit. 

But who knows. I hope this situation gets cleared just for the sake of knowing what's the truth

Sweet Serial Killer seems to be a cover / remix. Seeing that the artists involved don't seem to exist before 2020 it doesn't make sense for it to be a demo from 2010.

He is 100% deserving and in his rights to do this. it has tens of millions of views on YouTube (before they were deleted), it’s arguably her most popular unreleased song AND she’s performed it live on numerous occasions. the beauty of this song mostly comes from the production so honestly? if the person behind the production wants something out of it then let him fucking have it
