Chappell Roan the absolute superstar you are. I honestly have not seen a pop act emerge so suddenly and grow so big for years... Almost everyone I know at school knows of or listens to her and Good Luck, Babe! is a solidified car karaoke song alongside Red Wine Supernova. I'm gobsmacked... I know she says she feels overwhelmed by the speed of her career but I hope she can channel it positively. The outfit, the vocals, the performance, the set design, the music... She has the whole package.

i don’t know how she got this famous so fast but i’m here for it

Same, I think it’s because her label have relentlessly pushed her, got her on shows and she’s toured hard and it’s payed off.

Her rise to fame has been so crazy (and very well deserved). I remember thinking back in september when her album dropped that she was gonna gain like Rina Sawayama level fame but it really went way beyond that. Haven’t been this excited for a celebrity in a while tbh, everything she does has been so intentional and thought out, which I feel like we haven’t seen in a pop girl in a long while.

me too omfg! When I heard GLB for the first time when it was released, I became an INSTANT fan. It’s so weird because the first time I played her album, I didn’t find it that interesting. But afterwards, I found myself wanting to listen to it and now I pretty much play it every single day. I’m so proud of Chappell and her success is SOOOO deserved

same thing happened with me! Loved Good Luck Babe, heard Red Wine Supernova live on TikTok and loved it, and loved loved the studio version, but when I listened to the album in full for the first time was pretty lukewarm. Now, it’s my most played album of the year so far and I love every single song

As a queer girl myself, seeing someone who is so unapologetically a lesbian blow up in the way that Chappell has feels so rewarding. I've been listening to her since around the time Midwest Princess came out because I saw a clip from the Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl visualizer on TikTok and was immediately into it. She just gets it. I'm so excited to see what she does next (really hoping that she releases Subway :lolliney:

dunno if anyone else saw but she had 3 older songs from around 2017-2019 leak. they kinda slap

I think her old stuff is actually good; it’s just the weird cursive accent that throws people off. It was really neat to hear her perform songs from school nights on the Midwest Princess tour with her voice now

Saw her at a Pride and she said it was her first time being the headliner of a festival it was such a cool moment.

I bought the tickets months before because Slayyyter was announced to also be there and I was like "oh, I dont know these other people but I've seen Chappell Roan's name before, I'll look up her music before Pride so I know some songs" then she EXPLODED into a sensation in the meantime and it was so exciting to see her live at that point.
