Thinking about the use of “drive-by” in Fingertips. In fact, so much of her discography can be re-interpreted through the lyrics to that song. If Patti separated Aaron and Lana back when they were teenagers, and then Aaron later died, that could basically be the building block of the entire Lana mythology.

 

In the Born to Die music video, she dies in a car crash while he survives. Or Dark Paradise lyrics: I wish I was dead, dead like you.

 

So much to think about, really. This is gonna be the greatest album by the greatest American songwriter, count on it!

Yep this goes all the way back to the Sirens era. I remember in one interview she said she always sings about the one same guy and while we know that’s not completely true, i speculate her ultimate real love is this Aaron Greene guy because he has appeared in every album since the beginning of her career until now. He’s truly impacted her in every aspect of life from music to family relationships. 
 

Someone should make a megapost of all the tea we know about their relationship and piece together her discography

I really think Aaron is K, and his death was the inspiration for that "character". I don't believe she ever had a boyfriend that was on death row.

I agree that the gangster storyline was hard to believe, but I’ve always had an iron-clad belief that K was a real person who died, and is the central character in Lana’s songwriting. This could really explain so much.

I get why people are being reminded of wait for life when listening to sweet. it's not THAT similar, it's probably because of the sequence of the notes. instead, the chorus melody is much more similar to roses bloom for you.
