It’s not nostalgia- earthquakes doesn’t have the same chord stems as dozens of the others from the last couple of eras 

It’s all opinion but we love an unmuffled vocal 

I am kinda biased though because I find all of jacks peaks with Lana just plain bland except the chemtrails title track which is very lovely and cutely arranged

A lot of her music lately is inspired by her poems and ideas she’s had surrounding them. It’s def not a song I would play on repeat everyday because of how deep it is, but I really think we as Lana stans need to stop expecting her to fit this mold. Not everything needs to be streamed 100 times a day to prove the music is good
