Lana to release new song "Henry, Come On" with Luke Laird - LEAD SINGLE

Recommended Posts

:oprah3: I do hope that for LanaBoards sake, you will let the song sink in before deciding to move on, when it is released, if it’s a simple song. Because our expectations are through the roof with Henry. Same happened with Candy Necklace. I must admit, I thought it was a bit simple at first. But the subtle production and the haunting piano has won me over. And that video, my my my :worship: But I don’t see that much love and appreciation towards it these days

Candy Necklace is a nice okay song. But it had no business being the single. Almost all songs on the album are better than it, and we now have objective proof that Let The Light In should have been the one to get a video. Of course, everyone with working ears already knew that on the day the album came out.

tbh if anyone is expecting a big song from the acoustic guitar snippet we got they deserve to be disappointed :thumb2: the only thing I realistically think will happen to the song is maybe the guitar will be strummed slightly faster, but overall I’m assuming it’ll be more a Nectar scenario where it’s just light strums the entire time

OBJECTIVELY THE VIDEO WON AN AWARD AT THE VMA

I wonder when she’ll choose to release this though! Possibly this month or the next?? I guess we’ll never know as it’s quite common for Lana to drop singles on random days…

Personally, I’m super excited to hear this jam but I don’t think it should be considered for a lead single. Especially because Pantene said it’s almost like the “Change” of the album, I really don’t think it makes sense as the lead single! I guess if it lacks in quality compared to the rest of the songs though, it means we have a LOT to look forward to when the full album is released! 🫶

I’m worried that Henry (and the rest of the album) might not go anywhere—minimal buildup and just acoustic guitar. She’s already mentioned focusing on less introspective lyrics, so my expectations are pretty low if the production is super stripped back, too. That said, if this is the direction she’s taking, it’s another unexpected move, especially after one of the hottest years of her career in 2024:thumb3:

Tbf I’m honestly fine with an acoustic album, I’m just happy with anything Lana brings out coz I know it’s gonna be fire no matter what
