Lasso - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

Recommended Posts

@barttttender Absolutely! Johnny Guitar is a masterpiece, in my opinion. Ahead of its time, gloriously melodramatic, and astoundingly subversive. How often do we see a female lead in a western? And the antagonist is a woman, too!

@rosemeadexclusivebbnewyorkcity Another Delphine Seyrig fan!

I hope that the opening track will have an iconic intro. Imagine something similar to the legendary intro of Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)... :cumming2:

considering how much i love candy necklace, i would be here for it :true: i feel like it could work, it probably won't necessarily sound like country, but in the outro portion of candy necklace when they're singing together, you can hear some guitars, and i feel like it would work alongside more outwardly country-oriented songs :true:

Actually, Candy Necklace also has a western vibe. :true:

it's giving

When has Lana actually cared about making money when it comes to her music? If she wants visuals she'll do visuals even if it's not necessarily the smartest promotional thing to do. Her label has given her virtually unlimited creative freedom. Even if the label's annoyed that the CN video barely made any money, Lana is more popular than ever and one failed MV is nothing in comparison to her current success.

interesting post I saw, which could! be semi confirmation that "Henry, Come On" may or may not be code for her ex? fiancé Evan (from which it seems they are on semi good terms!)

labels usually give budget for 2 music videos and I’m guessing she spent it all on one hence why it not making the money back might’ve been an issue but again… I don’t think it was much of a financial issue she’s rich

when Lasso will actually give southern gothic type of country with Ethel Cain feat then what... :smokes:

That would actually be my dream but i don't think she will ever go that dark, style-wise

My biggest question is will this lean more western or true country? Like is she gonna go Appalachian The Grass Is Blue Dolly style, or cowboy Willie style? I guess Lasso alludes to western, but I’d love some TGIB style too

If the label wanted to make money off a video, we would not have gotten that Candy Necklace MV lol.

I live for Lana’s MVs. If she rereleases AKA I want her to officially release all the homemade videos too :trisha:

we need more homemade videos, I’d love a return to that style for again. Or another very artistic video like shades of cool.

right we can have music videos like mariners apartment complex, venice bitch, white dress, blue banisters. all of those are very simple but still pretty. and ofc we can bring back the DIY lizzy grant type of videos random vids put together

i doubt she'd do that again because she's simply Lana Del Rey, she's famous and a brand now so... maybe that'd be more easy to be sued by someone owns the random clips she uses in her videos, and in Lizzy days, she was unknown - so no one cared, but she is Lana now.

but i'd love to see her wearing blond wigs, purpule wigs (for her mermaid video yup yup) again
