I actually was - before that - going to vote a mix of Democrat and Green positions, depending on who was available.

I’m interested in what makes her unappealing and what’s so controversial about her and her views

Like I said in my post, I’m not American so I know zilch about her or her policies. I’m interested in what makes her unappealing and what’s so controversial about her and her views The Green Party has no chance of winning whatsoever, but they pop up every 4 years to sell Jill Stein to the public and steal votes from the Democrats. While they might be successful in local politics, they never focus on that and literally just wait until the next election comes along - the only purpose for the Green Party's existence is to be a spoiler to the Democrats. Let me be clear: Jill Stein only campaigns in battleground states, despite her polling so low she should be campaigning everywhere, so the only conclusion is that she willfully tries to be a spoiler. Stein never held an office besides some unimportant local town council. Also, she is very buddy buddy with the russians... She also kinda justifies Russia's invasion into the Ukraine by saying they were surrounded by NATO assets. She is generally critical of NATO She supported Brexit, for God knows what reason. Also, Stein believes numerous conspiracy theories and is an absolute nut. She thinks WiFi causes cancer and has shared anti-Vax sentiment in the past. tl;dr: Jill Stein is a grifter and a russian plant

Like I said in my post, I’m not American so I know zilch about her or her policies. I’m interested in what makes her unappealing and what’s so controversial about her and her views She is simply an activist who got into presidential politics likely for personal gain. I have mixed opinions on her as a person but the Green Party itself here is just basically one big grift. Absolutely nothing like any international Green parties. In 2016, third parties (the Green + Libertarian parties) effectively “spoiled” the election for HRC, who narrowly lost to Trump by margins won by the third parties. Stein was the candidate in 2016. She has had a weird character arc (kinda like Tulsi Gabbard). She’s an environmentalist but supposedly has investments in Raytheon, a weapons manufacturer. I personally think it’s a bit sensationalized but there is the discourse of her being a Russian asset. I think it refers to her being sat at a table with Vladimir Putin at some statesman dinner, and the Russian interference in the 2016 election. ALSO random but she was asked how many US congresspeople there were and she said “What is it, 600 something?”… like ma’am if ur running to be president of the United States… To me she’s a grifter and if she were a real political leader there would be Green down ballot progress across the country but there are fractures within the party itself and the lack of any formidable leadership shows that the party is a shallow husk of meaningful Progressive policy Spoiler I did vote for the Working Class Party in my US House district, as my Dem representative sucks 5 Quote .・゜゜・ ⋆·˚ ༘ * GIVE PEACE A CHANCE ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚ ・゜゜・. X8vinylScratchX 4,568 Posted 13 hours ago If the Green party was serious, they would focus way more on local elections. Same with the Libertarian party. Running for the presidential election as a third party really is only good for attention and to spread your message, really a big advertisement. If they focus on races they can actually win then they would be growing their party way more in the long term. Jill Stein at this point running and losing every time with no hope to win is either out of vanity and likely worse literal attempted sabotage against the Democrats for the reasons laid out above.
jaesana 3,597 Posted 12 hours ago Harris wins. This is not 2016. In 2016, Trump was a nobody. People could project whatever they wanted onto him. Hillary didn't have that luxury. Democratic voter enthusiasm is nearly equivalent as it was to 2008, according to polls. Hillary had NO enthusiasm, plus the entire media apparatus was claiming she was going to win, so people felt they didn't need to vote. Women's rights are now overturned as a direct consequence of Trump's Supreme Court picks. Women are angry, even white women.

I'm scared what the Trump cult fans are going to do if Kamala wins because we know what happened in early 2021.

Plus he lost the last time as well against Biden who was half alive and nobody really liked either. Only thing is it's against a woman again and he did beat a woman the last time, could be guys don't want to vote for women so they maybe get less votes than men would get.
Embach 40,945 Posted 12 hours ago Did anyone here actually vote for Trump? 💀 Or has voted for Trump in the past elections, I'm lowkey curious lol. bluechemtrails 26,500 Posted 12 hours ago I'm very confident because the Democrats have always won as they had a strong candidate and Kamala is doing very well. Trump's promises and lies will not be believed by so many because he already had his term and many know him better now.
